We used to smuggle full bottles almost in plain sight using an empty bottle as a decoy. Our backpack full of bottles would go through the scanner and the operator would call out "alcohol" to the naughty desk. We'd saunter over and remove the one empty bottle saying "it's empty but we really like the design". The crew member at the table would then just wave us on. 😁

You stopped at the naughty table...lol! We used to pretend we were going to then blend in with the crowd up the stairs we went 🙂

On Enchanted in January, I only saw lifts on the hot tubs, not the pools, but I I didn't see the pool in the Sanctuary so perhaps there's one there.  Not sure if this is true for all ships, however.

    TY

  3. Hi everyone, I would love to go for a swim in a Princess pool. Walking not so good using Rollator. Does the lift get you back on your feet where my husband can help me up? Is it hard to use ? TY No problem in the pool just stairs and walking! I dream about a swim!

The worst part is that we had to stop allowing visitors again,  unless we are doing caregiver training 😞

That is bad ,when you cannot have a visitor. Was hospitalized a few times recent ly sucked not to see my husband of 43 years. My son had to threaten to call the CEO to get info on me, He is a sargent with our State police. He got the info lol

  5. Was not rich enough to take our selves or our son on a cruise then. If he had misbehaved i would have tanned his hide.We now call him sarg of the mass state police and thank him for his 8 years overseas in the airforce. yep he is a Vet 911. You do not let your kids get away with crap only hurts them

I was just reading a user review about the Enchanted. A picture was posted, showing how much room the scooter takes. Yikes! I was expecting it to be tight, but I thought there would be some wiggle room.

We rented one of these from Special Needs Group for our trip on Enchanted next month. My husband may (or may not,) need it, depending on how his condition behaves.

Can anyone comment on this? I was hoping there would be room in the closet area, for this scooter. We may just need to pack some steroids, which is sub optimal, but perhaps more optimal than this scooter.

Thanksgiving came early for me as my follow up with the urologist revealed that I am in remission from prostate cancer! Such great news headed into the Thanksgiving holiday.

For Thanksgiving we will be headed to our daughter's house in Pennsylvania, actually only a 40 minute ride.

We live in a manufactured home park for over 55's. It is still a good place to live, but in the past few months we have had problems with illegal underage residents who are living in their parents or grandparents homes. That is not a problem if they are over 19 and pass a background check. Therein lies the problem, no background checks because they have criminal records. Now we have problems with drug dealing and the occasional raid by the sheriffs department enforcing a warrant.

Marking time until our March cruise on the Enchanted Princess.

Everyone have a Happy Thanksgiving (for those outside of the USA, Happy regular Thursday 😁).

    That is wonderful!

congrats! makes me feel lucky I only took a shitter staples  to the head took what i had on my rolater. I lost. Hospital through me in bed and left me there fall risk! thanks ****.  At least I have a a strong seargent who could pick me up when i got home from the hospital. They want me to come for Thanksging umm no you guys have more stairs  than a cartoon. and the toilet reminds me of elementry school Well we got six containers of soup from the wonderful Dil

Happy Thanksging All! Nurse coming today to remove staples wish me luck!

My daughter lives in a manufactured home park (similar to mobile home except permanent foundations) and loves it too. Nice side yards (1 at 30' wide, other just 2')

2 kids are performing.  1 with SF Philharmonic 12/3/21. The other doing a California tour now getting ready for 40 cities in 60 days throughout the south in the new year. Needs a roadie

Yes I have a beautiful yard and a farm behind me

Know  one crawling up my back! Best thing I ever did 🙂Congrats on the kids 🙂

It's weird. No rain in forever and then giant winds and rain. The rain was much needed but we could have done without the wind. There are trees and branches down in lots of places. A city street was blocked because an entire tree fell over and blocked the street completely. Another tree took out some power lines.

I was thinking things had calmed down but now the wind is whipping up again. I'm so glad we had our large backyard trees professionally cleaned up a couple of years ago. We have dead wood falling from the huge tree on one side of the yard but it's nothing significant. As for rain: We will gladly take any we can get.

I live in a mobile home park which I love! after two trees fell on mobile homes I was never so happy they took the pines down! Now I can sleep in my bedroom 🙂 Neighbor complains it is too hot now ! well who told you not to put in central AC! She has more money than I do! Replaced oil with gas got ac and a new roof Happy lady 🙂

Just made appointments for our Boosters. We couldn't get the same time slot for both of us so it will be two trips to CVS - me at 1:00 and my wife at 4:00. We already had our flu shots so this "should" be it for the year as far as vaccinations go.

Happy for you we need the booster second shingles ! Flu shot and one for pnuemonia! so sick of shots hard for me to get out!

Hi to all my Cruise Critic friends, Things in Boston are not good at all.
I have some very bad news for you one of my best friends and a lot of you might know her?  Sue was a trivia Champion and Love playing  on the cruise. She passed away last week.

She was one of the kindest and friendly person I met on a cruise. I am posting her photo because a lot of you may know Sue. Sue and Gus were the most traveled passengers so many times.

Sue, Rest In Peace my wife and I will never forget you,

    Love ❤️ 🙏🏻

All they did the last time was laugh all day at me for catching the smallest fish in the ocean.
It’s ok I love being with them!!

To clarify, two masks were N95 and the third was a plain cloth under the two.

I am vaccinated and still wear a mask in public. I can't tell by looking who is or isn't also vaccinated. I have (stable) chronic lung disease. Plus, we're under a mask mandate in both the counties I spend most of my time and it appears most people have forgotten or never learned how to wear a mask.

I am not *afraid* to be in public, I just prefer not to risk my health for an issue that should have been a public health problem instead of one that was turned into a partisan/political issue.

I do the same lung issus! what I find funny is my new neighbor Who walks around her driveway wearing a mask . Her adult son lives with her wonder if she wears it in the house lol

How do businesses survive with all the lockdowns?  Does your government pay them to stay closed?  Here we only had a lockdown for part of March and April 2020.  We are pretty much back to normal now with only one business I frequent requiring masks.  If it weren't for my volunteer job I would lose track of the days too.  Retirement will do that to a person.

retired have to look up the days wish i could work!
