The main reason we love NCL is the amount of activities staff! Live bands and dancing opportunities. Big fan of mojitos bar with live music and dancing. Zumba classes line dancing and theme parties good comedians and tribute bands tooo! Enjoy the big shows but it’s gotta be hard to recruit and keep them healthy and performing with the ongoing covid19.
I've always found this odd. I go on vacation to relax and Zumba is the last thing I would want to do on a cruise LOL
To each his own!

My only concern is that they'll eventually bring it back.
lol right?
I would rather see other amenities implemented over free "entertainment". Give me FREE WIFI

I hated Epic so much I would never cruise on it again, even if it was free

There is more to cruising than price. I pay for an experience and I have been mostly pleased with the NCL experience.

It may be unknowable how many ordinary flu infections have been quashed because of all the masking, and hand-washing, and elbow bumping.
But I bet it’s hella lot.
I'm in the medical field and saw virtually zero cases of the flu during peak COVID season.

And if you look at the current menu, even if you use your FAS perk, there is now a $25.00 upcharge involved.
oh wow I had no idea this changed! Will definitely be choosing Food Republic on my next cruise instead of Le Bistro!

What cabin type? Certain cabin types only get one. I also booked a 7-night cruise for March 2023 and I only got one, I booked a Studio.
ah gotcha yeah I booked a studio. Seems backwards as our cruises are more expensive!

Don't think it is just going to be NCL doing this...
I think Canada actually started the trend. Once they announced they were dropping all requirements, others followed suit. I'm not understanding why people are getting mad at NCL specifically.

Is the "full cruise experience" getting sick? I was on a Carnival cruise 2 weeks ago....supposedly vaxed and tested. Yet, the next week many people reported testing positive after returning home.
Nope...if people aren't willing to get vaxed, let them stay home. There's no reason why I "took the risk" of getting vaccinated...and those not willing get the benefits of vaccinations leading to low covid rates.
LOL I got COVID in 2020 because my son brought it home. I work from home and don't go out much. I traveled the world in 2021 and didn't even get a cold. I'm not going to say home because I'm afraid I might get sick. I'm getting too old to be afraid of living because you never know how many years you have left.

As someone who believes in vaccines, masks and testing...I'm glad to see this!! I understand how some of you might be upset, but this is a step in the right direction to getting back to normal. When we went on cruises last year, several excursions were cut short or changed because of all this. Now we can finally have the full cruise experience and I couldn't be happier.

I booked a 7 day for 2023 and only got one a solo traveler.

And costs money. Not quite the same as free lobster like the other lines serve on their formal nights. I'd go on, but this isn't the thread for my opinions about specialty dining being a farce. 🙂
I've never paid for it, I use my free at sea perk

Yes, I love balcony cabins for the same reason. Was your balcony bigger than a regular size balcony?
I'm not sure, it's the only balcony I've stayed in

Cool.
Other than the laundry, what made it worth the extra $300 for you two? Thanks
The balcony itself. It was very peaceful.

I'm interested in Titanic history. Is it worth it to go to the Maritime Museum? Doesn't seem like they have a whole lot of remnants of the Titanic there. Should I just skip it and go to the cemetery instead?

I like using USD to bring back Canadian money as souvenirs

I changed from Carnival to NCL because of the BOGO/half price flights and the solo cabins. Carnival just cannot compete.

IMHO door decorations ate tacky. They make the hallways look like a row of dorm rooms.
Good that NCL has a policy that does not allow decorations on the cabin doors. I am curious if this is enforced on the ships.

I mean you are pretty much sitting up to sleep and you don't really need it. I had a 10 hour flight I didn't use my CPAP. I actually didn't even sleep

Mom and I won a bid to a club balcony last year for $300 and felt it was definitely worth the extra money. It was a 7 day cruise and the free laundry was the thing we liked the most. Not having to worry about laundry when we got home was wonderful

Wish NCL still did flights on bookings on this time frame. Probably why it's so cheap. I have this cruise booked for this time next year and it's 1500 for solo but that includes flights and transfers.

Condolences on booking a cruise on Epic. That is the worst ship in the NCL fleet
