Considering you paid retail for a Haven suite, yes, its a little ridiculous that your husband is unwilling to pay the "retail" upgrade price of $200 per person. That's peanuts compared to what you've already paid.

 

I would expect the Owner's Suite will be significantly more than $250pp. Its not an exact estimate, but a rough rule of thumb appears to be 50% of the retail price to upsell.

 

For just the two of you, no way I would do a 2-BR, regardless of the price. Yes, the living room is nice, but its unnecessary and you have a terrible balcony to boot. It looks like there are several DOS available on your sailing. The closer you get to sailing date, the less it will be to upsell. But I don't think they'll take $250pp, even though you already have paid retail Haven prices. Start calling 30 days before you sail and see what they say.

My hubby would so pay it .. he like "it your decision .. I just like the 2 separate room"(in his voice ..lol) ... I just don't want to pay more to lose my balcony .. if that make sense ... but I'll will definitely call upsell once the date get closers for the DOS

$190 in taxes and another $100 in gratuities. I am not really complaining but still $600 more then if it were just DH and I going so not what I would consider free.

Wow didn't realize it was that much we was think on upgrading our room.and invited another couple with us cause of the 2 free .. but our sail didn't have the option and after hearing this gald we didn't have the option

Oh and when I looked online how many aft penthouse are left .. there only one .. but there 7(out of 8) owner suite left ... but I sail out in march on the epic so they still have a couple months to sell

I like my aft penthouse especially cause of the balcony... but hubby really like the bathroom and separate living room in the two bedroom I hate the balcony in the 2 bedroom plus it only me and hubby ... I guess if it was 100pp I will do it for hubby but refuse to pay the full price I know that sounds crazy .... now for a owner suite I can do 250pp if they offer it but doubt that very much but one could wish though right ..lol

im wondering what would be my chances of getting a upsell from a haven aft penthouse to a 2 bedroom or a owner suite .. and what would be the price range

Right now a 2 bedrrom is only 200pp more which i can do now but i really hate the smaller balcony .. but if they offer it to me for a much lower price i will take it ... now a own suite i would love put doubt the price will drop lower enough for me to take it ... OR WOULD IT????

Or do they even upsell haven aft penthouses?

It's crazy when I saw howl at the moon I was like I'm not going there .. but u having me wanting to try it now ... what kind of Internet package do you have? does it work well .. or is is spotty ... or did you find the prefect spot where it works best? We are in a haven aft penthouse but hubby thinking about upgrading to a 2 bedroom now but I don't think it worth it.. ugh!!!

Aaawww thanks so.much its so smooth and can't get it here in the states ..ugh!!! ..lol.. BTW Im so loving your review .. everytime I see your post I get excited!!! .. I'll be on her in march for my anniversary excited!!! But I just found out there will be a radio personality that doing a cruise with his listener and a paralegal conference on the ship with us which don't make me to happy as I feel it going to be crazy and I booked this cruise to relax... so hearing all your relaxing tips make me happy... I will have access to posh, haven courtyard and plan on getting a 2 day pass for the spa so hopefully that will help me escape all the madness when I want too. .. I'm still super excited no matter what!!... can't wait to read more of your review

after looking at a few dailies ( cant find one that a 4 day cruise on epic but looked at others) i notice most of the game shows( like deal or no deal .. newlywed game etc) are around 8pm some a little later some earlier so we decided on 6:30... thanks everyone!!

I like those game show/trivia type shows too. Maybe you could do a search for some Epic dailies or post a thread requesting if anyone has any to post them. I'm always doing that so I can pre plan my evenings.

i was looking for some but they only have the 7 day ones for the epic i havent seen any 4 day epic dallies at all

This is what I do everytime I book I put my name down as I know I'm not missing my trip and everyone else is TBD.. I never had a issue doing this and as long as you put a name in 4 days before the cruise there no issue

I found that the only thing that works well on the social media plan was Facebook including the messenger .. everything else sucked and work when it want to .. if you go up a plan the 35 for the week plan everything works great including hang out a deal WiFi calling

I was on her 3 weeks ago and we had a great time .. like the op said shows was great and always had seating ... my next cruise is on a mega ship and even though it suppose to be freestyle is seem you have to make reservations for everything cause u possible wouldn't get a seat .. that kinda of sucks

Was on paradise 3 weeks ago and got the 35 for the week package and it was perfect you can basically do everything but video with it.. I even made WiFi calls to hubby with it .. all social media was a breeze and work great!!! Anything cheaper then the 35 for the 4 days sucked my sister has the cheaper plan and fb book worked get but everything else sucked

Question for past guest .. what time did you find yourself eating dinner the most ... I will like to book my specialty dinning early but i like comedy and game show type shows im not big on the "big" shows that would be on the epic so I'm not worried about those ... I'm not sure what time these things are but want to book dining around it ..what a safe time?

On the Epic (the only ship with Posh) access to Posh is included with the Haven.

 

On the ships with Vibe Beach Club it is not included as the Haven has its own private sun deck on those ships.

I looked through our Epic reservation info and we stayed in cabin 13295 back in 2013. Overall, I really liked the room and we had a great time on the Epic itself. There were 2 main things that I remember:

 

1. the empty hangers, closet doors and glassware made rattling noises overnight. We just had to remove the empty hangers and move the glassware around and everything was completely fine.

 

2. I'm glad I did my research on the bathroom setup. It is not a traditional setup where you open the bathroom door and everything is inside one room, ie. toilet, sink, tub, etc. The toilet is in it's own very small room. The sink, tub/shower, vanity desk is out in the open, all near to each other, and separated by a partial wall behind the bed.
