Carnival Sunshine March 2019. Eastern Caribbean from Port Canaveral. Youngest daughter got married 2nd day at sea. She had 50 friends come along and it was great time. Our first cruise and we loved it. May 2020 cruise from New Orleans got cancelled, now going in 2021.

I am trying to transfer my trip insurance from my cancelled cruise to a new cruise. The insurance company wants documentation from both cruises. I have the new booking info but not the cancelled one. Only thing I have is the sheets showing itinerary and charges, not a "cruise balance details"sheet like I have for the new cruise. I can't seem to find it online. Anyone know where I can find it, or have experience with insurance transfer? Thanks

Same here. Put the cruise I wanted on HOLD. Found a great PVP on Google and hooked up through email. Made an appointment and she called me and took care of everything. She works from home and is easy to get in touch with. Took about a week for all FCC and OBC to show up.

This may have been asked before. I had paid for a cancelled May 10th cruise and excursions and liquor with Carnival gift cards. I re-booked same cruise next year with FCC and OBC about 3 weeks ago. The new booking shows it is all paid and shows the OBC. I received an email saying excursions were cancelled. I have read that they can put refund back on card. When I go to the gift card website to try to check if they have put refund back all I get is error. I cannot get the security images to show. Anybody else have this problem?

I also took the FCC and OBC for my cancelled May 10th cruise. I re-booked same cruise in 2021. I found a PVP on Google and she took care of everything. All of the FCC and OBC showed up on new booking within 10 days. Refund option did me no good as I too paid for cancelled cruise with gift cards. I saw a You Tube video the other day from one of those cruise vlogers who offered his opinion about refunds. He surmised that  refunds would probably not happen until the actual cruise date. I realize it is your money and you want it back, but didn't we all give it willingly usually 90 days before cruise date? I think your paid booking is a sort of contract and even though the sailing was cancelled maybe it isn't OFFICIAL until the sail date. Just thoughts.

I had a May 10th cruise cancelled. After reading about PVP's on this site, I googled and found one on Facebook. She has been great. Last week I re-booked the same cruise for 2021. I took FCC and OBC option. When I booked she was able to apply most of the FCC right then. Since I paid the whole cruise with Gift Cards I was expecting a partial refund in Gift Cards, but today all that amount was applied to the new booking and the OBC. I think one of the advantages of a PVP is that you can contact them much easier than Carnival. She works from home all the time. I wonder with shutdowns and distancing, how many people does Carnival have in their call centers? 

I also took the FCC and OBC for my cancelled May 10 cruise. I just booked the same cruise next year with a PVP. I will get my excursions, prepaid liquor, and part of last cruise refunded to me. She applied the FCC to my new booking right then. Don't know when I will see the refund, but when I use it for the new cruise I will be at 100%. I see the applied FCC on my new booking but not the OBC at this time. The PVP was great.

Going on the Glory May 10th to Western Caribbean. Assuming this Coronavirus thing gets worse before it gets better, and more ports will not let people come ashore, what will Carnival do?Will they just cancel the cruises or keep trying to find someplace to dock, or maybe just cruise around and not stop anywhere. Would they contact us ahead of time about itinerary changes, or after we set sail? We love cruising and booked this cruise because of where it was leaving from and going to. Would not really want to go to places we have already been. Just wondering.

Our daughter got married last March on the Sunshine. She wanted a beach wedding on Grand Turk but waited too long to reserve the spot. They only have a couple of time slots open each day of the cruise for weddings, and they ended up having the ceremony on the ship while at sea. My best advise would be to plan ahead and book everything as early as possible so you get what you want. They were officially married before we left on the cruise, as Carnival does not officially marry anyone at sea. The grooms mother is an ordained minister and performed the "symbolic" service on board. There were almost 50 people who went on the cruise with us. The ceremony took place at one of the entertainment venues on board the ship in the afternoon when the "club" was normally closed. The ship had a wedding coordinator who was great and handled everything very nicely. She did double duty as a hostess in the main dinning room and gave us all preferential treatment every time a big group of us came to eat there. We brought our own decorations and flowers on board with us. Since everyone on the cruise eats for free anyway, about all you are getting in their wedding package is the ceremony and reception. We opted for the more premium package for 50 people and had very nice high end finger food and open bar. It lasted about an hour and a half. As someone already said the photos the Carnival photographer took were fabulous but expensive. All in all a great experience for everyone and a bargain for the parents.

We were on the Sunshine last March. It was our first cruise ever, and we loved it. The ship was cleaner than I expected, our cabin was spotless everyday. The food was great. We cruised the Eastern Carribeen and the weather and seas were great. You could hardly tell the ship was moving. We didn't have any trouble getting lounges near the pools at all. Would cruise on the Sunshine again in a heartbeat.

Does anyone know how long it generally takes for the cards to get back in stock?

I am looking at this excursion in May. We are 60's and retired. How was the snorkel boat to get in and out of?  Worried it may have a small boarding ladder that is hard for oversize out of shape seniors to use. Thanks

Was going to order liquor for cabin and saw a delivery charge. Do they charge a delivery fee if I order from room service? As near as I can tell the bottle price is the same?

What size backpack works well as a carry on.

First time to Grand Turk in early March 2019 with Carnival. Was thinking about catamaran snorkeling excursion. Any one have any comments.
