  1. Certainly stopover if you can. Our airline Air New Zealand allowed free stopovers so we did post cruise. We stayed at Bekana Resort on an outer island. Only a 3 star but OK. We were supposed to do a 3 day/2 night Blue Lagoon cruise but it got cancelled due to weather.

  2. My husband and I are looking to do a day tour in Santiago and then be taken to the airport. If you would be kind enough to give us the name of you contact, we would really appreciate it. We are going to be debarking March 16, and although I have e-mailed several companies, I have not heard from anyone yet.

    Thanks,

    Ronnie

Try Victor Aballai @ victor.aballai@enaturchile.com We went in March 06 so I hope its still the correct address. Good luck. website is www.enaturchile.com

  3. We are departing the Rotterdam in Valparaiso, Chile on Jan.7,2008 and would like to tour Valparaiso, tour Vina del Mar and then on to our hotel in Santiago. Is this possible to do on Tur Bus? If not what's the cost to take the tours. We are both 79 years old, but very healthy. Any advise would be appreciated... Donald and Virginia

Why not get a private car and do the tour from the pier. Go to Vina del Mar and Renaca and Valparaiso and then include a winery on your way to Santiago; Veremente is one we went to. They can take you to the hotel or give a tour of Santiago as well. Maybe even your ride to the airport whenever you are scheduled to leave. We did it the other way. Was very reasonable and was private. I can give you our operator email if you are interested.

  4. Does anyone have any knowledge about tours from Cherbourg? Overlord tours is all booked already for their personalized tours. So far I cannot find anything to accomodate our time frame, about 6 hours. Has anyone been on a ship's tour out of Cherbourg to the D-Day Beaches? Our cruise is the Connie for April 08. Thanks in advance.:)

We rented a car in Cherbourg and did the beaches. Car rental agency (prebooked through National) within walking distance of the pier. Good roads to the beaches.

  5. HAL does North Atlantic cruises twice a year. Typically it is a 17 day over to Europe and 18 day back Boston return. We did the 17 day Boston/Rotterdam Boston, St. Pierre, St. John, Nuuk Greenland, Rekyavik, Shetland Islands, Bergen Norway, Stavanger, Kristiansand, Oslo, Rotterdam.. Different ports on the way back to Boston. Goes in July each year. Again in October.

  6. Great idea Kelly. But HAL doesn't even do ship webcams so I suspect one for HMC isn't in the works although itlikely would be cheaper than satellite service on a moving ship. Also Carnival uses HMC and that might complicate things a bit.
