They call it the "thermal suite" and you do have to pay extra to use it. You can buy daily passes, or the week at a discount if you think you'll use it a lot. The pool is "thalossotherapy" so it has minerals and such in it. It's very relaxing. On the Splendor, they also had those heated ceramic beds you could lay on. Also several dry, wet, steam and sauna rooms. I bought the week pass and honestly went just about every day! :D

Weird I got that same punch card, no laynard. I did get a free luggage tag but it was a plastic one, a free carnival tumbler and ship photos (4x6) and the cruise ship USB. that's all we got.
hmmmmm thinking we got ripped off, maybe ?
I'm not sure, I'm wondering if different ships offer different gifts? I did not get a tumbler or cruise ship USB. That USB sounds pretty cool! I will check when I'm on the Miracle next week and see what they are offering and if it's any different. :)

For me, as many others have stated, if people were complaining about the coupon being too restrictive, the logical move would have been to lift or ease the restrictions, not replace it with water. Again, my opinion only. I did use my coupons for the most part, sometimes I didn't, but I never complained about it. I am sailing on the Miracle on 2/1/15 and will be extra sure to use it! :D
I like the value Carnival offers, so this won't make or break anything for me.

I bought 10 photos but didn't realize I got a shutterfly gift too. Where would you see if you rec'd that ?
DKNE, when I bought my first picture, they gave me a free lanyard, and the lanyard had a punch card in it. When I bought more photos, I got punches. One of which got me the luggage tag, the other got me the photo book. And yes I LOVE the luggage tag! :D

Typically.
Thank you Pixelate!

Is the last sea day when they do the "Behind the Fun" tour? I'm considering doing that on my upcoming Miracle 6 day cruise.

I'm recently off the Inspiration and did end up buying 3 photos from the gallery, and with the Pixels/Shutterfly program I had 2 gift offers. I've never used them in the past but this time I did and I'm really happy with what I received! One was a metal luggage tag, with 4 of my cruise pictures on one side, and my name and phone number on the other. The other was for a free 8x8 photo album. I had never made one before so it took me a while to get the hang of it, but I made one to give my little niece for her birthday, it's of our Alaska cruise last June.
Just wondering how many others out there take advantage of the freebies offered in the photo gallery?

I should have booked it yesterday...I see that Rhythms of the Night in Puerto Vallarta went from $99.99 to $115.99 overnight. I realize that prices can change at any time, I just wish Carnival would give you a head's up, especially when you have something saved to "favorites". Oh well!
-
That's awesome! 😆
-
haha I enjoyed reading your post, OP!
I am one of those who think you can never have too many cruises booked, and if you get good deals, that's even better.
I have 3 on the books for 2015. Can't wait! :D

Stjohn, I do think they were linked, as we all booked with my TA. Before we went into the guarantee pool with that great sale we actually had cabins next door to each other. I wasn't expecting we'd get this close to each other with the guarantee! Hope you have the same luck!
-
Well I can tell you we have 2 other gals in our group and they got their assignment today too. They are only 3 cabins away from us! Pretty stoked how that worked out. Hope yours does too!

Hi Beachgal, I took my chances and went with that balcony guarantee rate they had going about a month ago...Booked an ocean view, our cabin is on the Main deck, all the way at the back of the ship. Honestly for the price I am not going to complain and will look at the walk as part of my exercise routine! :D

I've been checking every day, and today is 37 days out. Just got my assignment today. This is for the Inspiration on 1/9/15. Still don't have my assignment for 2/1/15 Miracle cruise though.
-
I have 51 days until I board the Inspiration for a quick 3 day jaunt to Ensenada! :D

Whenever I've received a call from Carnival, it was a 305 area code, which makes sense as they are based in FL. 901 sounds suspicious to me.

I'm going to have to try Solomon's Landing! I've walked past it a million times, don't why I've never stopped in. I know it gets lots of good reviews. I will stop in when I'm there in February and see what all the fuss is about! :D
-
Good point Sanmarcosman! 7 is too early for Cabo.
-
I got a forwarded email from my TA about this for my February 1st cruise on the Miracle. Funny though, I can't remember what the original port times were, but it looks like Cabo was cut short?
-
Thanks for your review, and especially for the parking info! I usually park right there at the port, mainly for the convenience of it. However, saving $12 a day adds up and this sounds very easy and close, so again I thank you. :D

The very first thing I do, it has now become a tradition, is head to the Lido deck and get a DOD. :D
This part of the cruise is always so exciting for me, when you are first on board, and you can feel the excitement in the air!
-
On the marina, I like Los Deseos.
-
Thanks BeachBum, I've been on the boards long enough to know all that. :D My question was more, do they get deleted if no one posts on it. I appreciate the replies, I was able to adjust my settings. I know it's a long ways off, I can't help it if I get overly excited lol.
-
Yep, that's it! I was able to find it like that a while back, but wasn't aware of the editing function Laura mentioned, to include older posts. I reset my options and now it shows up when I go to the roll call boards. Thanks! :)

I've been on the Miracle 3x now, and although I do like her, I too would like to see a newer ship take on the 7 day Mexican Riviera trips. I took the Splendor out of Long Beach once, that was nice. Would love to sail on the Dream! :D
