Thank you so much!!  I decided not to buy a package and just work off the OBC I have.  I will register a credit card when I get on board and if I go above the $400 at least it will get charged to that.

I am going on the Seaside 5/11  We have just the Bella level and I requested early seating.  So when we get on the ship we find out our time?  And it looks like there are 2 buffet's and two restaurants to choose from that we don't have to pay extra for.  Can we just choose each night where to eat or do we need to tell them ahead of time?  Also, does everyone get very dressed up for dinner every night?

Ok good to know!!  We actually won this trip from Mohegan Sun and had to put $400 down to reserve it and I was told it comes back to us as on on board credit.  I am sure we won't have anything left at the end.  I do have a credit card I will put on file.  So that makes me feel better that I do not need to fork out $406 for a drink package so I can have water and coffee!! 

I already booked and paid for excursions and wifi.  The only thing left was drinks and gratuity.  Oh and money to gamble!

It does seem like a lot of money for soda, water and coffee. I don't even drink soda.  So if I don't buy the package, I can use my on board credit every time I buy a drink?  I'm sure I won't spend $400 on drinks!! I think you are right, I should pay as I go.  Not sure why I didn't think of that!

If I wait and purchase it once we board, does the price go up?  Should I just purchase it now and use that $400 in the casino?

Also, me and hubby are not drinkers at all.  We are buying the non alcoholic package so we can have water, soda, coffee, etc.  Is it even worth it?  If you don't purchase a package are there free drinks around anywhere or you have to purchase everything?

So you couldn't make phone calls at all?  I was going to buy this package with the intention of face timing and calling my kids everyday like I did on RCCL also.  

We are sailing Seaside in May.  I want to be able to Facetime my kids a couple of times a day and check work emails and stuff like that.

Just curious what everyone suggests.  Do I spend a ton and get unlimited just for myself or spend less for 6gb for 4 devices even though it is just me and hubby.

Can you Facetime from the basic package?

We were supposed to go that week but changed it to May 11-18

I don't foresee him having any problems while being off the ship.  So hopefully I don't have to leave him there LOL

We are not going to Cuba.  Heading to St Thomas, St Maarten, PR and Bahamas. I have googled it to death and I believe it is ok but I am going to call MSC to be sure.  Thanks!!

Ok great!!!  I am going to dig out his birth certificate tonight and hopefully it is a certified copy.  If not I will order one.  Thank you!!!  

Oh ok that makes me feel better.  Does your birth certificate have a raised seal or stamp on it?  

Quick question.  Long story but we are going on a cruise in May and hubby is using a birth certificate and driver's license.  I know it is better to have a passport but long story short he can't get one.  We are taking a closed loop cruise from and back to Miami so we don't need a passport. 

 From what I understand we need a certified copy of his birth certificate which I believe I can get at town hall if we don't already have one.  But does it need to be notarized also?

I was googling around and I thought I read it is illegal to notarize a certified copy but when I went on the MSC website to do our check in, it mentioned a notarized copy.

So I am hoping someone on here has cruised with a birth certificate and can help me out.  I would die if we got turned away at the dock!!!!

I know I can always call them but hate waiting on hold.
