Does it feel crowded? We leaving on 26th and it looks pretty booked up at this time. Do you have pictures of new room service menu prices and is the door hanger breakfast gone?

We are at 3,200 passengers and no it doesn’t feel very crowded. Haven’t waited more than a couple minutes in a line.

Yes the breakfast door hanger is gone but you have access to the same menu, you just have to call in your order.

On the Ecstacy. They  only have 4 beer types on Lido. Miller Lite, Coors Lite, bud lite and Corona. I have not checked the other bars but I think they will be the same.

It will only be that limited until you are in international waters.

    The selection will get better.

Our first Carnival cruise and second cruise overall.  Our 5 day became a 7 due to the swine flu in Mexico and consequential itinerary changes.

It was there we learned the power if the sign and sail card. The bill under the door final night was, umm, shocking 😂😂😂

I think we might have been on the same cruise! My first cruise was also on the Ecstasy out of Galveston in June 2009. We were changed from a 5 day to 7 day and went to Cozumel and Montego Bay. I sailed on June 6th 2009.

Are you talking about Port Coral?  I think it's 4 miles from Belize City.  And yes ships will be able to dock there.  But still need to take a tender ride to North Drowned Caye  then vehicular transportation  across the causeway.

Yes I am talking about Port Coral. Yes you’ll still have to shuttle to the mainland but you won’t have to do it directly from the ship which will be nice, in addition to having access to beaches and shopping without even having to ride a water shuttle at all.

I went to Belize on the Glory in Nov. and could see it partially completed but it didn’t look like any construction was currently happening.

Just trying to see if anyone has any updated info on when it might be completed.

I’ll be back to Belize City first week of June on the Glory so I’ll get an updated look then and see if any progress has been made.

  5. As most of you probably know, there is a new cruise port under construction in Belize. I believe it was supposed to be completed this spring, however that completion date was set prior to covid.

Has anyone heard any news on when this new port is expected to be completed? It will be nice to not have to water shuttle straight from the ship to the main land. (will still have to shuttle to the mainland form the new port though).

So we were just upgraded to a suite and priority boarding was included. What exactly does this entail? Do we get a special line? I know its included in diamond and platinum and they get their rooms open earlier? Is that included?

You don’t happen to be on the Glory Nov. 7th do you? I also was able to upgrade to an Ocean Suite on deck 7 from a regular balcony on deck 6 today for only $100 for the week.

My luggage tags and boarding pass both say priority. Was also wondering if suites get on before boarding group A1.

Well, as expected it's horrible and I mean horrible...... I've sailed Carnival before .... and NCL, MSC, Holland, Princess, and Royal. I've thought my Vista experience a few years ago was bad but this buffet is laughable. Imagine having this huge seating area on the Panorama and like 8 nasty dishes to choose from .... like Chili Mac, some rice, some pasta, some slads etc ..... 2 of the four center stations have no food at all, zilch,, and the two that are being used are the exact 8 awful lunch  items. This is the same for breakfast. They do have a carving for station for lunch which is acceptable ...... Just can't figure out why Carnival offers far and wide the worst and most awful Lido food of any cruise line ..... it's like staring at my old high school cafeteria again with that look of "good god, really?". They have a sandwich station which made me a meatball sandwich which equally sucked . MDR, Jijis,  and Pig and Anchor has been good but as an opinionated post and an FYI thr Lido buffet for breakfast and especially lunch had been a monumental disappointment.

Why would you expect them to open every single buffet station on lido when they are sailing with well over a 1,000 less people than normal. Wouldn’t make sense to have them all open.

I was on The Breeze from July 19-29. The buffet was as I would expect from carnival. Yes they did not open all the buffet stations but that’s to be expected with reduced capacity. Still never waited in a line at the buffet.

We’re on the Carnival Conquest in a balcony hopefully in August. Can someone refresh my memory on whether my sister can bring Ensure with her to have as a nutritional supplement and can we still get ice to put it in to make it cold?

Might run into trouble if you bring the bottles. Does Ensure come in a carton?

I would call.  Everything I’ve read says drinks must be in cans only.  You can request a bucket of ice from your room steward.

Yes you can bring Ensure. You can bring on 12 sealed individual cans or cartons 12 fluid oz. or less.

Carnival's decision to let their customers serve themselves at the buffet is just another reason why i will not cruise Carnival line. This decision is another example where the Micky Arrison owned cruise line  has a flagrant disregard for the health and safety of its customers. The health of their customers should be their number one priority,  The arrogance of the cruise line not to enforce safety protocols boggles my mind after 15 months of lockdowns and deaths on Carnival owned ships.. Carnival gives cruise companies a bad name. I ask that Carnival look out fort the well being of their customers by enforcing safety protocols! Tom

How dare they go back to normal. That’s what the goal has always been is to return to normal.

With everyone vaccinated (95% or higher) the buffets pose no more risk now than they did in the past.

    Yay for Normal!!

I agree, if FTTF is available, it is more worth it than ever before.

Not if you only buy it for the priority boarding and on one of the July/August cruises.

They have already said that there will not be priority boarding when they first start back up.

    1. Do you have to clear international waters before you can use it?

    2. What can I get with it?

Can I get anything other than soda or mocktails? Are some drinks premium and extra cost? Can i get a shot of espresso coffee?

Tbh i drink less and less, i get a hangover and so i dont drink every day on a cruise, but i drink some. Cheers was so cheap I had to say yes, and book another with it, then they took away my cheers on us offer. Now i cant book it again. I have it twice. It's not something I'd normally book but I couldnt say no.

Anyone had cheers out of Galveston and know how long you have to wait to use it? When I used a drink coupon just to buy a bloody mary they charged me $1 extra plus added tax. Is this typical? I might like one on a sea day.

I'll for sure try a few drinks, but I'd have to be drunk all the time to use my limit, lol. Looking forward to whatever anyone can tell me about cheers.

You can’t use any part of cheers on the first day, even when you reach international waters. You will have to pay for things like soda, coffee, and of course alcohol by the drink until the second day.

I just popped over and I didn’t see pricing just for one person. All cabins still have the pricing for two people. I looked in August.

Maybe I’m confused what single supplement is exactly. I thought it means you pay double occupancy — even though there is one passenger.

    ?????

If you change the search filter to only 1 passenger you will see that it’s without the single supplement at least out of Texas in August.

Odd as I say since it wasnt on dream when I did dream and carnival says it's not on dream. I did see it on magic with the tablecloths and all.

Though the pasta window is pretty nice if you like pasta. It's kinda in the centre of other two buffet areas and has it's own window. For lunch purposes I dont think there is much difference between the restaurant or the pasta station in the middle of the buffet choices. You still pick what you want them to cook. I dont eat pasta so I havent tried it either ship. If I have guys burgers no way I'm wasting my appetite on pasta. And bbq.

I was on the Dream Nov. 2019.

What the Dream has is not the full on pasta restaurant that serves a free lunch and then a paid dinner.

The one on the Dream only offers lunch but it is located in the same place as the full on Italian  restaurant would be located. The second floor of the buffet area towards the back.

Just saw this on my Aug 28 cruise. Maybe someone who has one of the earliest cruise can let us know what is on it. Maybe upload vaccine info? Maybe upload recent negative covid test if NOT vaccinated? Who knows, yet.

I'm on The Breeze July 19th. My health assessment isn't available to complete until June 12th.

Well, is this a hint that the four ships sailing in July will be fully vaccinated?

My thought as well. I read it as the 4 ships that start  in July will be going the vaccination route and test cruises for any ships that sail afterwards.
