  1. Hi LJ -

Just catching up on your recent posts and enjoying the fantastic photos. We had a cruisetour booked for this coming August, and were so excited about it (our 1st trip to Alaska), flights booked, excursions booked. BUT, Hurricane Sandy struck hard here on the NJ shore (we live in Union Beach) and many, many homes were totally destroyed. Our house was still standing, so we are under construction while living at a different location. Needless to say, our trip to Alaska has been cancelled since there are now other priorities to deal with.

Maybe one day we will get there, but in the meantime, we can enjoy the posts and pictures.

    Take care,

    Patty

    Hi L.J. -
We are going next August, starting in Fairbanks, 2 nights Denali, 2 nights McKinley/Talkeetna and cruise from Whittier to Vancouver.
Can't wait to read your cruise experiences. The photos are amazing.
DH wants me to ask if you heard about the fatal bear attack at Denali yesterday? It is the first time that has happened in Denali. People do need to respect the wildlife, be aware of your surroundings, and follow the experts' advice.
Have a great cruise! Looking forward to reading more.
    Patty and Richie
  3. [quote name='WalleyeLJ']Hey Kathy - welcome back! How was Vegas? I swear Bev & I are the only adults in America that haven't been to Vegas...:D

Hi L.J. - we haven't been there either, so you're not alone! :D
Enjoying your trip review and fantastic pictures. We are booked for August 2013 for a Princess Cruisetour - our first time to Alaska, and we are SO excited. By reading your review, we feel that we have already been there.
  4. We went on the Cosol tour (with Cosol's brother, Yellowbird, as our guide) in October 2008 and LOVED the tour so much that we have booked it again in March 2012 (again with Yellowbird). He was very proud of his island and gave a very informative tour. We also had plenty of stops for pictures. Sampled bananas (sweetest we have ever tasted), the lunch was fantastic with samples of local foods, the roads were roller-coaster-like, but even my husband was OK with it. We weren't too crazy about the beach, either (rocky), but the boatride past the Pitons was beautiful.

On the way back to the pier, we stopped on the road, and then Yellowbird was passing out the BEST hot bread and cheese EVER!

We are looking forward so much for another trip with Cosol in March to visit this beautiful island.
