The package is bookable via the Hilton Honors app and the hotel website...you could check if it's available for your dates. Read the terms carefully, though. When I looked at it, it offered free parking for the night of your stay only plus discounted ($11 instead of $22) parking for the length of your cruise, and I think a shuttle to (but not returning from) the port. When I did the math, the rate difference (package was more expensive than a straight room discount via HH) plus the parking and taxi costs made the savings minimal compared to just driving to the port and parking in the garage there.

I tie a strip of colorful fabric to all of the handles, very easy to spot. My MIL also gave me blue bags that were stenciled very pretty with white paint....

I believe American is part of the Luggage Valet program-- you get the form on board and fill it out and for 25 $ a bag they take direct to the plane and you pick up your luggage at bag claim when you arrive

 

Key west is about an hour and 1/2 drive from Miami I believe but there are great places to swim and snorkel well before key west. Day passes are OK at hotels but they can easily cost upwards of 75-95 pp and for 6 seems rather steep.

 

We have a late afternoon return when we cruise in November and will be spending the day at FT lauderdales beach area of which there are several listed on the FLL Beach website (and may places to eat as well) and best of all the beach is free!!

Key West is about a 5 hour drive from Miami.....it is Key Largo that is a hour and a half....it is the first Key going down into the rest of the Keys

The Hampton Inn Brickell will sometimes offer a package that includes parking.

I have both and really like either, but I do like the outside pockets of the soft side.

We have been on two southern..our favorite..will be on the Navigtor in Dec. good luck.

We were onVision 3years ago for Christmas and really loved it....the Captian was a female and she was all over the ship and so friendly.

Year...a while back....Holland America SS Veendam out of Tampa to the Caribbean..... Had a balcony and just loved it....

Another plug for Blue Kay in Costa Maya..pretty beach and good food. No charge to get in....

I'm also looking at going the more pricey option of $99 for Renaissance Island day pass because flamingos!

We had a great time on the island and the lunch was good....

We love Costa Maya and have been to Blue Kay.....

6 months out still feels so far away and takes forever to get through...a month I just get more and more excited!!!!

In the Bahamas you will see lots of fish...Cozumel is just okay...for your friend I would say the Bahamas.

There was a separate security line for suite and higher tier guests as well as for check in. Then regular security line was long and folks on our roll call said it was awful.

 

Maybe three people in front of me for security and none for check in.

Living in FL. We can drive which keeps expenses

down....but we truly love it.

All 23 cruises have been to the carribean....have done different things each time....we have our favorite ports.....

We love being on the ocean, it's so peaceful, we sleep great on the ship, love the water.....its just the best for us!

I'm a proud Navy Veteran and proud to be married to a Navy retired man...when we do get a discount somewhere they always say Thank you for your service.....that feels good to hear...

We always book privately unless we want to do something that is time sensitive.

One our best was a catamaran we went on in Barbados . Many many other great ones too
