Thanks to everyone who answered my questions about norwegian epic. It seems that a lot of people like it but it seems to be a very divisive ship with some saying it is very inward focused. I am used to smaller ships with lots of windows.
Is the Norwegian Bliss that different? Thinking of taking my cruise in a different direction and going to mexico. I like the sound of the observatory lounge. Is that indoors? Are there enough pools? Does it feel less like a floating hotel then the epic might? Any other differences and reasons i might cruise on the Bliss instead of the Epic. If they are similar i'd probably choose the caribbean.
I’m thinking of going on the norwegian bliss in march to mazatlan, puerta vallarta, cabo sans lucas and ensenada. I’m wondering how rough the sea would be? I though i recalled before there was one rough spot going to mexico. I’m not sure if march is rougher then other months or is even a good time to go.
I have a few more questions about the caribbean princess. Is there a nice place indoors to read, preferably with an ocean view? How are the pools? Is there enough room for everyone there? Are their lines for dinner? I’m still making up my mind!
Thanks. Do people find norwegian generally leaves a decent amount of time to get to the airport the day you are leaving or is it better to get a 1 day variance at the end.
My concern with norwegian air is i understand i could get a redeye from vancouver to east coast if booked through them. I’m wondering if i book a 2 day deviation i’m more likely to get a regular flight as thats a friday and less busy. Isn’t orlando where disneyworld is%-that would be fun! Oops forgot leaves from port caneveral-maybe something there.
If you book online do you just let them know by phone you want the deviation?
Is there anyone who has sailed on ncl vs. princess who can speak to the difference between them? I am really struggling as there are cruises around the same price with both lines. I get the-sense you don’t really know until you are on board what it will be like.
Thanks Nancy. Glad someone read it! Yes i really enjoyed my first cruise on holland america due to shared dining. I should have added that royal had unhosted solo groups every day. I went to first one and no one came. It could have been because this was a small ship.
Thanks everyone i am really warming to this cruise. I didn’t realize you could go from st. Thomas to st. John which sounds nice. Just wondering is there a good specialty restaurant to use the 50US? Anything else i should know about the epic?
Yes i agree black friday sale was legit. I got a bering fisherman's tour usually around 300cdn for 172cdn. And everything was on sale. Still you can't count on it happening again or for your ship.
I have found some of the caribbean excursions, in particular food tours to be quite expensive. Does ncl have any sales? RCL had quite a good black friday sales last year.
It seems like from what i read some people like you access the beach on grand turk right from the cruise ship. But st. Thomas is supposed to be more scenic. Any other comment appreciated.
