  1. I’m usually amongst the first to board, but there is something to be said about arriving to the port once boarding has already started. We enjoyed a speedy check-in experience with a very friendly Royal Caribbean shoreside staff, and then we were whisked right onboard. I think this may be the way to go for future cruises....

I am currently sitting in the Windjammer enjoying boarding day lunch. I just glanced at my plate, and if it wasn’t already half eaten, I would have photographed it lol! As expected, with 6,000 guests boarding today, it’s busy in here, but we found a seat with a little persistence and of course a healthy dose of patience! I keep hoping that honey stung chicken will make a re-appearance one of these days, but sadly today is not the day [emoji30]

Staterooms should be ready by 1pm. We have a balcony cabin on deck 11, very very close to the elevators and a hop skip to the Diamond Lounge.

I am connected to the ships wifi and the signal is strong. Fingers crossed it stays that way!

I didn't know what honey stung chicken was until I went on the Allure an had the most amazing chicken on day 2 of the cruise. Not sure if it's the same on Oasis and Allure, but try tomorrow.

  2. You are right as the main difference is the tub. Allure does not have a tub. Both upstairs and downstairs they have a double headed shower with a rain shower in the middle. I loved the showers on Allure. However, I prefer the decor of the Harmony. I would youtube videos to see examples, I am sure there are plenty. I would base your choice more on the itinerary as the rooms differences are not vast. Also, Harmony has the water slides (not sure if they are something you would use) and wonderland.

  3. Thank you for taking time to post your review! We are in Star Class in August on Oasis, room 8330. We are soaking up all of the Star Class reviews and info!

We will have 8 of us, from ages 59 to 10 months !

Enjoy this special trip with your Mom!

What date are you sailing? We are star class on Oasis as well this August. We leave the 12th.

  4. I would choose Giovanni's, 150CP, and Izumi. I ate at all the specialty restaurants in February. We hated Chops (sides were comparable to the windjammer, steaks were gross and tasted better at every other restaurant, and service was slow) and Sabor is more of a lunch place. We were star class so we could eat at them whenever and we choose 150 CP and Giovanni's twice. Would have done Izumi, but we had reservations there our last night so we didn't know how good it was.

  5. My family was on the Allure in February. In the Bahamas we did Atlantis and swimming with the sea lions. It was a lot of fun. You are very short on time there though because you leave port so early. The lion excursion was a great one. We watched the dolphins too, and it looked fun. St. Thomas rained so we ended up not doing anything, though I love taking the ferry over to St. John when I have been there in the past. We went to St. Kitts not St. Maarten so I cannot comment on that. On ship, I would take advantage of the zip lining, rock climbing wall, golfing, and flowrider. I always went when they opened and never had to wait. At night and in the afternoons, I loved to hang out on the boardwalk and central park. We would often eat at one of the specialty restaurants at night and ask to be seated outside. It didn't feel like you were on a ship.

  6. We really liked the kayak tour over to old Labadie, and the jet ski tour was incredible, if you want something more active, but overall it is a great place to just sit on the beach if you so desire.

I remember nearly 20 years ago I went kayaking in Labadee and they took us to an area and showed us a glimpse of where the locals live in Labadee. I remember this being such an eye opening experience. So they still do this on the kayaking tour? If not, does anyone know of a tour that does?

  7. I was recently on the Allure and have never been on a ship were I felt so much motion. Of course it as the weather. As with everywhere else in the world, the weather has been unpredictable and the high winds we experienced were definitely felt. I couldn't even walk in a straight line. Luckily I don't get sick.

  8. I stayed in this room on the Allure in February and will be staying in this room on the Oasis in Aug. It is an amazing room. You can google it and there is a youtube video. It is a copy of 1720 on the Allure so you can google that as well. My favorite part was the balcony. It was huge! I loved that you had an aft view and an ocean view. My favorite thing was to relax in the sun in the morning and afternoon. I loved hearing the music and watching all the action. The upstair's bed is amazing! The downstairs is just the couch and is not comfortable. The bathrooms are identical and contain the 2 heads on opposite ends and a rain shower head in the center with a single sink. If you have any questions, I would be happy to answer.

  9. I recently got off of the Allure of the Seas in a star loft suite. Definitely take advantage of your Genie, letting him/her know what you like ahead of time so they can have it ready for you. You can have any of the food from the specialty restaurants brought to your room. For instance, have chips and guac or sushi in your room every day at 4. You Genie can help you plan a party in your room for your child. Also remember all drink from Starbucks are included. I would definitely take advantage of ALL specialty restaurants. We did Costal Kitchen for breakfast only. We were not too impressed. The specialty restaurants are way better. We went to the one we liked the most twice.

All laundry is included. We sent our clothes everyday and went home with all clean laundry! In addition, take advantage of the suite sun deck, we never had trouble finding a spot, and doing the extra tours, backstage, galley, and bridge. If you have any questions, I would be happy to answer.
