We paid 10 EUR for a taxi from pier to old town. Wandered the streets until we found the main square. There were carriages lined up in the small park and took about a 40 minutes tour/ride for 50 EUR for 2. Nice relaxing day in Corfu town. We didn't wander outside of town as lots of folks do.

 

Taxis are lined up in the main square, 10 EUR for the ride back to the pier.

Was the cost of taxi per person or for total in taxi?

Over the years, it has taken longer and longer to decorate our Christmas Tree. We buy ornaments in every port. Hanging them brings back so many great memories. For something that usually costs less than $10, the memories are priceless.

Are you on a tour of gatun locks. Is it close to colon, thought that was your stop for today and cruising the locks was tomorrow. Looks like you are having a nice time, weather ok

We did that tour on previous cruise, took train which is replica of one used during building of the canal, also feel that seeing the locks at that angle gives that added perspective to the canal experience....can't wait for trans of the actual canal. Hope fun is being had by all on the ship...Linda
