Cool Cruiser

Cool Cruiser (2/15)

  1. Don't know that you can do this unless you give them the day of the cruise as your arrival day and then go back to the airport for pickup. I assume you are going to spend the night in a hotel, If not in the airport then it might make more sense to just get a cab or a car direct from the hotel. What port are you talking about?
  2. The short answer is yes. As far as the airlines is concerned you are no different from any other passenger. At least that has been my experience.
  3. OK. DW reminded me we had to pay in full at the time of booking for the second leg, That's where I am trying to make reservations so, yes, I do have to pay in full now. 🤦‍♂️ As Emily Litella used to say "never mind".
  4. I did take flexible. Restricted price was ridiculous!
  5. I just booked a flight on EZ air and even though it says payment due at final payment they went ahead and charged my credit card on the spot. The cruise is in 300 days and final payment is not until June. So what the heck is this all about? I booked the outbound flight on ezair last week and it is due at final payment. Of course there is no number that I can find to talk to someone in the ezair department and, since I booked the cruise through a TA the support people are not allowed to discuss anything about the details of the cruise. Anyone have a number to contact ezair?
  6. According to the chat I had this morning with Princess "we are aware of the problem and we are working on it. Please try again later."
  7. So, it has been a long time (15+ years) since we cruised NCL. Am I reading the above correctly that we can wear nice shorts to almost all the dining venues, all the time?
  8. Sorry, I realize it is off topic but what is the Plus60 package?
  9. Is the plug layout the same for an inside cabin on the Encore? Same distance to the bed, etc?
  10. Whatever you do do NOT use the ATM machine that is sometimes by the gangway. Bad exchange rate and excessive charge to convert. Made that mistake only once. I have to agree with others that getting Euros at an airport ATM is easy and, depending on your bank, cheaper than most other places.
  11. We are booked in an Ocean View room on the Island and are wondering if there is more than one outlet behind the bed? Since there are two lamps it would seem to make sense there would be two outlets but... I know there are adaptors for European style plugs with both European and US style plugs so could plug a lamp and cpap. But if only one outlet then that would be a problem with two lamps. We both use a cpap and really don't want an extension cord running across the room if we don't have to.
  12. Back to minibar question. This is our first sailing as elite so first minibar. If we exchange for all sodas is it a one for one exchange, 1 alcohol for 1 soda?
  13. No charge. Just ask room steward. But, make sure he understands you want distilled water. Last cruise he brought mineral water but exchanged it when I asked about it.
  14. Our tour of Normandy, which covered the beaches and the American Cemetery, also included the Memorial de Caen. This museum details the origins of WWII and on into the Cold War. The display I found most fascinating was the split screen movie of D-Day. One side shows the allied side of the battle and the other shows much of the same scenes from the German perspective. After watching the film I am amazed that anyone survived the fighting. I have not seen the museum mentioned by anyone recently so not sure if it is no longer on the tour itineraries or what. If you get the opportunity it is well worth the visit.
