  1. Don't know that you can do this unless you give them the day of the cruise as your arrival day and then go back to the airport for pickup.  I assume you are going to spend the night in a hotel,  If not in the airport then it might make more sense to just get a cab or a car direct from the hotel.  What port are you talking about?

If you book EZ-Air are you able to still use airline perks that I would get if I booked directly with the airline? I have a WestJet MasterCard so have WestJet dollars and entitled to free checked luggage if I booked directly with WestJet using my MasterCard.

The short answer is yes.  As far as the airlines is concerned you are no different from any other passenger.  At least that has been my experience.

  3. OK.  DW reminded me we had to pay in full at the time of booking for the second leg,  That's where I am trying to make reservations so, yes, I do have to pay in full now.  🤦‍♂️

As Emily Litella used to say "never mind".

  4. I just booked a flight on EZ air and even though it says payment due at final payment they went ahead and charged my credit card on the spot.  The cruise is in 300 days and final payment is not until June.  So what the heck is this all about?  I booked the outbound flight on ezair last week and it is due at final payment.  Of course there is no number that I can find to talk to someone in the ezair department and, since I booked the cruise through a TA the support people are not allowed to discuss anything about the details of the cruise.  Anyone have a number to contact ezair?

Rules of packing for an NCL cruise....this includes the fact that tuxes, suits, sports coats, gowns, heels, dress shoes, sparkly clothes, tiaras, etc are not needed.

-outfits that can be worn 2x before needing to be cleaned

-Hawaiian shirts that can double as dress shirts for the few (actually only 1 or 2) restaurants that require them, that can also double as casual wear

-1 pr of khakis for that same restaurant (or 2) that require long pants

-1 pr of shorts for every 2 days of the cruise

-tennis shoes, which can also double as closed toe shoes for restaurants that require them, and can be worn at embarkation

    -sandals for the pool decks

    -swim trunks

-1 pr boxers/day of the cruise

    -1 pr of workout shorts

    -2 workout t-shirts

-1 pr of socks for every 2 days of a cruise (some can be white workout socks-others colored socks to wear with the khakis)

-meds, toothpaste, toothbrush, mouthwash, brush, deodorant (I use the ship's soaps and shampoos so I don't have to pack them), razor (2/week)

-1 iPad for posting to CC on a cruise and playing music while I shower every day

-1 iPhone to text take pics/vids on the ship

-charging cables (usb A/C, lightning), international plug adapter, rechargeable power bricks for long layovers when I fly

-electrolyte packets for those mornings when I might have (oh who am I kidding...always) been over served the day before.  These get me right back in the game. I've tried a lot of them.  IQ MIX and IQ JOE is what I've settled on to do the job for a.m. coffee fix and rehydrating...https://www.eatiqbar.com/collections/all-products/iqmix

I wash and rinse clothes as needed in the cabin shower and hang them on the cabin's laundry line.  I also take advantage of NCL's laundry service (Latitudes gets one batch free).

I can pack a roll aboard carry on and a back pack for a 7 day cruise.  I have an 11 day cruise in the Mediterranean beginning next month.  And, I'll be sticking around Italy for another 2 weeks after the cruise.  So, I'm going to have to break down and take one checked bag as well as my usually roll aboard and back pack this go round.

So, it has been a long time (15+ years) since we cruised NCL. Am I reading the above correctly that we can wear nice shorts to almost all the dining venues, all the time?

Anybody with recent experience on the Island Princess....are there any "pop up" casual dining opportunities? We have the Plus60 package which entitles us to 2 casual dining meals. The Island does not have Alfredo's. etc etc etc. We sail on August 25th and I'm wondering if we will somehow get any casual dining benefit.

    Thanks!!

Sorry, I realize it is off topic but what is the Plus60 package?

  7. Whatever you do do NOT use the ATM machine that is sometimes by the gangway.  Bad exchange rate and excessive charge to convert.  Made that mistake only once.  I have to agree with others that getting Euros at an airport ATM is easy and, depending on your bank, cheaper than most other places.

  8. We are booked in an Ocean View room on the Island and are wondering if there is  more than one outlet behind the bed?  Since there are two lamps it would seem to make sense there would be two outlets but...  I know there are adaptors for European style plugs with both European and  US style plugs so could plug a lamp and cpap.  But if only one outlet then that would be a problem with two lamps.  We both use a cpap and really don't want an extension cord running across the room if we don't have to.

  9. Our tour of Normandy, which covered the beaches and the American Cemetery, also included the Memorial de Caen.  This museum details the origins of WWII and on into the Cold War.  The display I found most fascinating was the split screen movie of D-Day.  One side shows the allied side of the battle and the other shows much of the same scenes from the German perspective. After watching the film I am amazed that anyone survived the fighting.      I have not seen the museum mentioned by anyone recently so not sure if it is no longer on the tour itineraries or what.  If you get the opportunity it is well worth the visit.

  10. We have cruised Princess almost exclusively for the past 10 years.  Looking for a change in scenery (itineraries) to something Princess does not offer.  Will I be happy shifting to MSC?  Does MSC recognize other loyalty programs?  For those who have sailed Princess, Celebrity or Royal, what are the big differences I can expect?
