Good advice, if you have paid NCL in advance, will they credit the $50 on board?
Yes

I pay whatever the Haven/Suite price is and that’s fine. I get the cruise I want, in the room I want for the level of service I want. Life’s too short.

@Harratine did you book this as a cruisetour? I'm going a bit nuts with this discount, have two cruises booked already. I searched Alaska and only saw cruises. Can you point me in the right direction please for 20% on the Denali cruisetours? thanks
20% off the cruise portion, landtour wasn’t discounted. You want to look for the Jewel sailing between Seward Alaska and Vancouver.

Wait! I've only cruised once with NCL! Am I still included?
All it takes is a latitudes number, which you get after your first cruise. So yes you are included.

Ours was a previously booked cruise, so they should be able to get the LATVIP for y’all.

We just saved $2300 on our Alaska cruise! Pays for half of the land tour to Denali!
Thank you for posting

I'm glad for you that you could "go back" to a smaller ship without the suite restaurant. We should not like it.
There is a suite restaurant for breakfast and lunch. You could always get a table. It was in modernos and Cagneys

Just booked a villa for labor Day weekend! Does anyone have map/list of where the villas are? Can you choose prior to getting to GSC. We are in a suite, it was under $400.
Villa tickets come with the villa assigned. Not sure if you can pick. Villas start at 24 and go to 39. 39 is closest to food/bar. 24 furthest away. All are really good location, so quiet you can hear birds all day.

We loved the Dawn many years ago but that was before we became suiteaddicts. Now we will not cruise on a mass market line without the suite restaurant for breakfast, lunch and dinner.
I can't know if you will be disappointed but we should miss the Haven.
We did a Dawn suite AH (after Haven). The service was wonderful. Butlers super helpful and you have never seen a concierge until you have met Roel.

They have Maltings on Breakaway???
Had to check I had the name right,,, yes the bar Is Maltings
-
Blantons was at Maltings across from La Cucina. Check with the bartender as they may have other surprises on the top rail.

Just off the Dawn on Saturday. Wonderful time.

If you are a Bank of America preferred rewards, you would get 5.25 points in lieu of the 3 points for NCL direct charges. Best points I’ve found for travel. Doesn’t work for RCL and some other travel cards.
-
After doing two mega ships, we did the Dawn last week. It was refreshing to not have lines of people everywhere.
-
Bullet is in package. A surprising choice is a woodford reserve old fashioned ($13.95 at gatsbys on Dawn). Check the menu at a whiskey bar. Also had the jack Daniels gold on the Breakaway. If you get woodford straight up it’s $22. There is a jack daniels rye that is quite good as well that’s in package. Blanton is available for a small upcharge as well
-
Woodford old fashioned - and it’s in the drink package, which shocked a couple of the bartenders on last cruise

I have never seen Diet Sierra Mist on any NCL ship, but the menu above seems to indicate that it is available. It is possible that it is there, but you won't know until you get on board. That would be the only soft drink that meets your specifications.
Had the diet Sierra Mist in our fridge last week on the Dawn

i was wondering about bermuda also since its only one port
Bermuda is usually $50/ day in port. That means $150 if you go on 3 shore excursions.

Somewhat of a newbie to NCL here. 🙋♀️ We have the shore excursion promo booked. When you all say you are credited the $50.00, how do you get that credit? I see the excursions have to be paid in advance so, does your credit card get credited or do you just get a credit to your on board account? Thanks!
You can call and reserve the excursion or book it (pay when u book). In the case where you prepaid, you get a credit back to your onboard account.

Rather them smoke in there than on their balcony
True on that. I was amazed that people would chair hog in a smoke filled room for hours on end. I wasn’t even sure they had a room. Brisket doesn’t spend that long in a smoker.

Equally gross. Smokers camped out in the cigar room. I think I saw a group get food delivered lol.

So glad to hear about the beer! We have the package so will have a great time...
Does anyone know how early they will take you over to the villas? I mean if you are on the 1st or 2nd tender do you meet somewhere or what?
Thanks in advance!
You will be able to get into the first tender. If your room is suite/Haven the concierge will let you know where to meet. We boarded the tender at 10 am and arrived on shore before 11. Took a little time to fill, so try to go downstairs on the tender and you will be off first and out of the sun.
When you arrive at gsc, go to the info desk ( to left after gsc sign), you will need the entire group to get wristbands for the villa. The transport will be behind the info desk and take you to the villas.
This repeats when you go back, with the exception of you will be checked off a list so they don’t leave you. Takes about half hour back, so plan accordingly.

Just off last Saturday. Roel is the concierge. Our suite was on Deck 12, our butler was Seka. We were in 12500.
