Neo Riviera sold to AIDA. After dry dock it will be know as AIDAmira. Another piece of the missing puzzle.

My gf is onboard medi now. They are just finishing up the northern Europe season and heading to Mediterranean. Magica is doing the same. I'll ask her if she has any new information. I don't know how much the itinerary has changed but she was looking forward to Oman and Muscat.

I'd say its very likely repositioning for the impending hand over of the ship. But as you say very odd if they are still selling cabins on her through to 2021. Maybe they are selling on behalf of the new venture. Or they know they can just substitute Firenze when she comes online. If you like the itinerary it might be worth a punt that you book now and end up with a better ship come cruise time.

The odd change here and there is due to weather. But the permanent change is here now. Venice banned large ships. Costa will organise the transfers and notify you ahead of time.

That info is correct. My friend onbaord Foruna was told he is no longer going to Singapore. The weird part is Medi was sold to another Carnival/Costa brand. A new brand which is meant to be below Costa on pricing. So really they shouldn't be using it for this route. And they really need to spin-off a couple ships because they have so many new ships coming online. Venizia already. Smeralda in dry dock waiting launch and Firenze next year.

Cold meats are nice. And everyone loves a good pastry. There is an egg station some pre done eggs and some they make to your order while you wait. But definitely plenty of healthy options.

The embarking and disembarking crew all stay at Bastion Hotel Schiphol/ Hoofdorp. So if you could get there you'd likely secure a bus with them as a worse case scenario. That's where I'm staying prior to July 24. IT is the home port so I'm sure they will have means of getting you to and from the port though a taxi might still be easier and more flexible.

The luminosa world tour this year had heaps of English guest from the san Antonio/santieago segment through to asia and the Asian (Singapore) segment back to Europe. The south American segment was very few English people but I think the most amazing segment.

When this happens and you get concerned what is the best course of action? Ask a foreign passenger? Or try seek out English speaking crew?

My friend is on Magica and says its fine. Slow in crew areas. Fast in public areas. Acceptable in passenger cabins. The satellite reaches the ship. But the ship itself has some black spots from the wifi repeaters. Also very time dependent. When crew are mostly working you get les people connected and faster speed. If you find it slow in your cabin find a common area to sit.

Yeah it was a general drill and its not a life boat its a tender boat. No body was injured. It was empty. And it departed on time.

I cant see any excursions yet as they are loaded last minute for family and friend cruises because technically I'm on standby until 4days prior to embarking but they always find a spare cabin in the end. I reckon it will be a blast.

Im going Costa Mediterranea July 24th from Imujen and includes Iceland. But until I go I wont know about the excursions. I'm also interested in feedback.

Luminosa captain is sebastiano chrisam. But I think it will change in a month when the world cruise ends and they reach Venice.
