  1. Forgot to mention that if you board after staterooms are open, you can dump your carry on stuff in the stateroom and not have to lug it around.

and this is why I love CruiseCritic. Brilliant advice. Thank you. Can you tell I haven't been able to cruise much LOL - this is even better.

  2. Probably not very packed at all since the ship usually starts boarding between 11am and 11:30am. Staterooms will also be open after 1pm, further reducing crowding in public areas.

Thanks Bob. Since I have been doing all the planning so far, the rest of the family will have to comply - LOL :D

I guess that might be a better option and avoid the crowds.

    Thanks again to all

  3. Hello All,

After reading quite a bit of reviews on how packed the Windjammer and Park Café will be on boarding day during lunch, what other options will be open for lunch?

I have read that the Wipe Out Café has some options for breakfast but are they open on boarding day?

    Thank you

  4. My final payment was made weeks ago. And I printed my SetSail pass which has a "sample" which they tell you not to use. But I cannot print my tags. I am hoping that this is due to my still being about 8 weeks out.

Yup we are past final payment also, so we are all paid. Playing the waiting game now.

  5. Your luggage tags will become downloadable at the same time your cruise documents are ready.

The luggage tags will be a page at the end of the cruise documents.

They will also be downloadable from the same page as your online check-in, as mentioned above.

    As always, Thank you

  6. The luggage tags should be available at 7 weeks before the cruise, but some booking variations can delay them, such as having Air2Sea arrangements.

AHHH thank you. Can you guess my excitement level.

Would they normally email us the luggage tags as part of the documents or I still have to print them online?

  7. The luggage tags are printed from the same page as the set sail pass.

Under the "Cruise Documentation" page, there is an option for "Guest Vacation Documents and Documents" - When I click on the link, I have prompted to confirm my email address and it lists that my documents are not ready yet.

Is this where I can print the Luggage Tags? Normally when can we expect them to be available?

    Thank you

  8. Hello everyone,

We have 69 days to our first RCCL cruise - Can't wait - Couldn't get here sooner. The problem is it ends as fast as it came, BUT got to make the best of it in 7 days LOL:D:D:D

We completed our online check in and printed our set sail pass.

Where do we print the luggage tags from?

    Thank you all

  9. Speaking to the former John L Park

when are you planning to go?

the park closes at sunset and they chase people out well b4 .....

you need to be aware of time of sunset on the day in question . . . .

[so other folks here have said]

We are cruising in the third week of August. You are correct, the park's website does state that they close at sunset.

  10. You have completed the online registration. The final step should have been telling you to print your SetSail Pass.

Thank you :D Yes it did. I didn't print it now as we still have time. We are sailing later in August. Thank you for clarifying that, now I can use the correct terminology also.

  11. Did you set up your SeaPass account with a credit card? Then you will need that credit card.

SetSail Pass, passport and credit card = the only true requirements. :)

You should not need to print the waivers.

    Enjoy the Allure!

Ah Yes the credit card :)

    What is the SetSail Pass?

Thank you - really looking forward to RCCL and Allure of the Seas

  12. Thank you all. This site is amazingly helpful.

As we are getting closer to our cruise, we are getting very excited.

We completed our online registration forms today and filled out absolutely everything. We set up our onboard account plus signed our waivers.

Once we get to the port, other than the printed documents do we need anything else (naturally our passport)?

Will it be a 123 step and will we receive our cards quickly? (Can you tell I am excited to get on the ship)

We have filled out the waivers also, do we need to print them out and carry it with us for the flow rider, rock climbing and ice skating?

    Thank you veryone

  13. Yes.

This would be my suggestion as well. Your daughter is already missing five days of school one more will not hurt.

You'll never remember that missed school day on your death bed but chances are you'll remember this vaycay.

Just wanted to give an update -

The school changed their calendar to open a week later. Apparently a good number of parents complained that the school was opening way too early and the school decided to move the opening day up by a week.

This helped us as we immediately jumped on booking our return flight for the Monday after the cruise and spend an extra night in Florida. We actually saved $159 per ticket (6 people travelling) and an extra hotel night is still cheaper.

Thank you all for your support.

  14. As stated above, I-95 can be hit or miss as to traffic. I live between West Palm Beach and Ft Lauderdale, and have driven between both. I would never plan on less than 1.5 hours each way. If you luck out you can do it in an hour (perhaps at 3 AM). Speed limit is 65, and you can do 75 without concern- I do it all the time.

The return flight that we are interested in from PBI leave at 4:00 PM so that should give us enough time to rent a car and drive to west palm beach and get lunch
