While I did not spend much time in Eden. It might be a good area for reading during the day. When they refit Edge maybe they will put in shelves for books. You think the library cart is ridiculous. Look at the photo of our breakfast table back in March 2019. Yes we were one of the lucky ones to get a table for breakfast in our SKY SUITE.

    Congrats on your 50.

Could you give a breakdown - high level of the Celebrity ships you have been on and destinations?

    Way back whennnnnnn....

My wife and I were on a Celebrity cruise at the meet the officers party.

My wife had the second most cruises with Celebrity in the group there.

They presented her with a dozen roses, a bottle of champagne and a picture with the Captain.

I'm not sure what they do now.  I'll have to pay attention this next cruise.

I'm just a minor leaguer with my 25 or so Celebrity Cruises and 600 points.

600 point 2nd Top cruiser?you were not on a mini boat weren't you?

I can't tell you how many times I've found that drinks made behind closed doors are made with house liquor instead of what you ordered.  I've also found that when I've ordered drinks without alcohol....when it arrives, it has alcohol...they "forgot"....which isn't all that cute when one has medical reasons for that order.  Yes, that includes on celebrity ships where they used to mix the "elite happy hour" drinks behind closed doors.  If you really care about what you are ordering, you might do what I do....order from the bar where you can watch.  Sounds like that's hard to do on the Edge...I'll just add that to my growing list of why I don't want to sail on the edge....

    Good point.

Have you all notice they never open a new bottle of Grey Goose or any other brands in front of you once the bottle is empty?

They always brought the bottles to behind closed door and not throwing the empty bottles to the trash cans.

Agree, this discussion has been seen ad nauseum. " non monetary tips" - there's an oxymoron if I've ever seen one.

The whole idea reeks of a patronizing attitude, IMO. The crew are not starving, have ample opportunity to purchase candy or any other kind of snacks they want,  and have no interest in key chains, post cards, or other tacky souvenirs from your home state. Nor do they want the hand painted rocks that you or your kids made just for them.

If you want to give them something of value besides $$/ €€/ ££/ ¥¥, then fill out a compliment card at Guest Relations. That can have an impact on their reviews and chances for advancement.

It is very rude for crew members not to accept any gifts from the customers even it means useless to them.

Few months ago a couple from Hawaii used to give candy from Hawaii.

What a surprise when the bartender received it thought not to her liking.

These people came so far away from the other side of globe and try to give a better living for this families and what they got are candy to bring home.

Ding! Ding! Ding! This is exactly why they removed the larger tables in the cabins, on balconies, and made the sofas smaller. Yes, the cabin appears larger, but eating in the cabin or on the veranda is much more difficult. That way, they will reduce room service orders substantially. This eliminates service and kitchen staff, ultimately saving money.

They will react to feedback, however.

    Now some body is talking.

I have never seen so many people order room services in the morning during my last cruise.

Now there will be little complain to hear on the Guest relation Department why my breakfast is never on time.

    People are spoiled.

This year and next year Solstice is going from Hawaii to Australia in September. I can't book these cruises because of conflicting schedules. I was hoping to book in Sept. 2021, but I see that the Solstice is scheduled for refurbishment in Oct. 2021. How will this effect the Hawaii to Sydney possible schedule? Can it be refurbished in Australia? If the Solstice can't go to Australia, will another ship do Australian cruises in the winter 2021 time frame. Does anyone have some info or speculation on possible itineraries to Australia?

    Thank you in advance. Rich

From winter 2020 onward there will be two solstice class ship cruising in Australia. One leave from Sydney and the other leave from Melbourne.

I believe both ships will reposition to North America about the same time as previously did.

Well I do like the free drinks, free laundry and free internet that comes with being Zenith. The problem seems to be that Celebrity wish they had never granted these perks. Oh yes, I was told by senior management in Miami that the cheap upgrades to suites were not part of the marketing department and was entirely handled by the "Revenue Department".

I read from another thread Retreat Sundeck where the bar is located is off limit to Zenith members.

    Can you please confirm?

I haven't measured them but the S3's are said to be 102 sq ft and the port and starboard S1's are 79 sq ft so I'm assuming most of the extra size is from length, although they may be a bit deeper too. I also am not sure if the 102 sq ft is an average for the S3's - the two end ones may be longer because of the MC rail and window area adding some length. They are nice-sized balconies.

Its seems there are more pleats flooring just by counting the number of pleats on the floor from door to the railing.

Do love the side window during sea days so can watch the ship sailing forward.

  9. The Fact that Arno, who has 20,000 posts and is "Super-Zenith" ( Captains club Zenith X 2 or 3) took his annual long cruise and wished he could get off after 14 days??????  This coupled with your review is Alarming and I hope Celebrity takes note.

It won't be a good thing if Celebrity made a comment like this.

It really means Celebrity no more care of your business.

Loyalties no more important than making money for the company.

Suite guests are more important than Zenith members. They going to  replace Michael's Club to Suite Retreat and some area even OFF LIMITED to Zeniths.

On my last cruise on Reflection in December they only honored the top Cruiser to the stage and ignored the rest of the Zenith members.
