Come to find out the cost is $319 cheaper and he's taking away $25 in on board credit. I thought that was kind of rude. I won't be using him as a TA in the future.

I wouldn't necessarily call it rude. The OBC the TA gives you is out of their profit (commissions) paid based on your cruise price. Thus if cruise is cheaper, the TA is making less profit, and that is why your (and most) Ta's reduce OBC in these instances.

Agree totally!

What kind of money are we talking about?
Thousands, and up from there, over the course of a week.

Miryam, you certainly have the right attitude for traveling! Glad your trip worked OK.

I haven't been on Ruby, but every other Princess ship I was on had 3 Card.

You will generally find reps from all the cruise lines wandering around, holding clipboards, in the baggage claim area. If you have trouble locating the "Celebrity" rep, just ask any of the other reps, they can usually point out or locate the proper person for you.

Again, thanks for taking the time to report. I appreciate the comparison between Carnival and Princess casinos.
-
As always, I enjoy the report, and Congrats/good luck to your wife with the BJ tournament.

That is correct. You will just drop the luggage back off on a conveyer belt and be on your way.

AFAIK NCL is the only casino that has an offer like that.

We have been on both Eurodam and Eclipse ( sister of Sil) and think the Celebrity "S" class ships win by a mile. In fact we are doing the Sil this March as well...Everything else is comparable in terms of service, food, on board atmosphere, etc. IMHO.

If you don't have any other documented proof of gambling losses, whether losing lottery tickets, or win/loss from other casino's, then by all means request it for proof, to document your write off when you do your taxes.

Yes,$40 is an excellent price for train to NY.

Actually, if you go to the baggage desk at the Amtrak stn., you can do short term baggage storage. I believe it is $3 a bag.

Thanks for the reports on both this and the Niagara trip.

Glad to hear about their timely response, and also really enjoyed your review. We, also, are quickly deciding RP is not for us, even though we really like Princess.

Nice try, but Dorothy has no connection with the Bill/Lois meetings...

Having done something similar with Holland America in the carribbean, my travel agent advised me that the cruise line requests 30 days notice of your intentions. I assume Princess would be similar. As previously mentioned, we also confirmed with the purser office shortly after boarding and they had all the required info and were very helpful upon departure as well.

If you read the fine print, you will find there is no guarantees regarding 1 vs 2 beds. Some hotels will work with you regarding that but have heard a few horror stories where people had to sleep on the floor also...
