Is this an actual suite or just a really, really large oceanview?

How does this happen then?
After I purchased my cruise I looked at the drink package and it was listed at $64 per night.
Around black Friday I got an email saying "Limited time! Extra Savings! Ends Sunday!" and the price of the beverage package was... $64 a night.
That Monday I looked again, no sale banner, and the drink package was... $64 a night.
Last week I got another email advertising their Christmas sale. Again the banner said there was a discount on the beverage package and when I looked... $64 a night.
Today that sale banner is gone, and guess what, the beverage package is still $64 a night.
So at what time was the beverage package on sale?
The only sale showing up for me is the unlimited.drinks.package plus basic internet for 73 or 74 dollars. Which is not.a bad deal if you want internet access. .

Does your mommy and daddy know you swear and are posting on CC. 😂
I'm 54. Mom has been dead for decades, and my dad is 93. Don't tell him what I am doing.

I might be tempted but I am cruising with my 11 year-old daughter in early January. She does not drink enough alcohol to make the deal worthwhile. One gin and tonic and she's done. Well, two at most.

I guess I have only two more things to say:
First, I am bringing my kindle with me, it has plenty of reading material;Second, I can accept a lot, but if they dare to close the water slides on board, I will raise hell.

I see the OP's point. If you enjoy a cruise.for specific things, and those things are not.present, why go, especially with the hassle?
Luckily for me, I especially enjoy cruises for.the food, maybe meeting some interesting people, relaxing, seeing.some movies, etc. And I like being at sea.
If.there is good entertainment that is a bonus.
To each his own. I am looking forward to my cruise on Mariner on Jan. 6

I guess we won't know until we board.
Regardless, I plan to enjoy my cruise.

This just caught my eye:
Royal Caribbean Pauses Bookings for Cruises Departing Through Mid-January (cruisecritic.com)I like that they are limiting capacity as my daughter and I are booked on the Jan 6 Mariner of the Seas cruise.

And ... speaking for myself, I am going on my Jan 6 cruise. The only things that would stop me are contracting Covid (and I am vaccinated and boosted!), or the cruise being cancelled. I'm not worried at all.

I think this is really dumb, but since I am traveling with my still unvaccinated 11 year old daughter, it does not really impact my experience much. We are traveling.on Mariner of the Seas on Jan 6.
I am glad the cruise lines are still operating, but I am.heartily sick of the panic and control freak behavior of the government.

Also, which ship and sailing date might be helpful as well for people who may respond. Sorry if I'm overlooking that info in your post. Happy sailing. I'm on the Symphony now. It's a great day to be cruising. Just like yesterday was, lol. 😃 everyday is 🤗
Ha, I did not include that info. Duh.
Mariner of the Seas, sailing January 6.

Hi all,
I am hearing on the one hand that Windjammer IS open for dinner on some cruises, but it doesn't seem to be on mine. It is not a big deal, but since I am traveling with an unvaccinated child, we are restricted to set times in the MDR. If we have the late seating, I just want to know where I can feed my little one if she gets hungry!

I hate it when customer service reps don't know what they are supposed to know, and, on top of that, have an attitude. So I sympathize with you there.
It still seems excessive to say your plans have been "crushed" because of this point thing. To be sure, I don't worry about points because I have not yet cruised with RCL (my first cruise is in January on Mariner of the Seas). So I have nowhere to go but up!

The Deluxe Beverage Package is a little less than it was, but still ca. $64 per day which is more than I want to spend! I might do one for $55 but that is not available.
On the other hand, the soda and refreshment packages were much lower in price. $5.99 per day for the soda package and ca. $17 per day for the refreshment package.
-
I agree the.package has more than juat alcohol, but in that case I might purchase the soda package. The ship I will sail on, the Mariner, has the fancy coke machines that.include Dasani water, both still and sparkling.

If I drank enough to make the beverage package worth the mobwy it would blow out my liver. How do so many people drink so much???
-
I am relieved that kids under 12 will only be required to get an antigen test before the cruise (another change in RCL's policy).

That's what the corridor is for.

I am not purchasing one for my cruise on the Mariner of the Seas because the included dining gets really rave reviews from CC.
On the other hand, Independence of the Seas' included gets a negative review on CC. They also seem to have low fares. So for that ship I might go for it.

I think I read in this thread that there is rapid PCR test?? That would solve my issue very nicely. Can anyone confirm?

I am booked on a cruise with my daughter who will be 11 by then (Jan 2022). I am not a happy man right now. I've sent an inquiry to my TA about having my deposit refunded.

All the options are there for my sailing in January. Is it a time thing??
I'd ask the cruise line or your travel agent.
Poll time. Are you still planning to cruise?

Going next week on Mariner. The only thing that would stop my daughter and me is a positive Covid test.
