I think Willie is excellent....always has been for us anyway.
Us too.

Either a travel agent or Royal agent can make arrangements for a hotel room for a night between cruises. That being said we have the same situation in Fort Lauderdale coming up and have been assigned a hotel with very conflicting user reviews so we are debating using it.

Princess has had virtually the same tipping policy for years as now instituted by RCCL. While many will leave the charges on their accounts, seeing the lines at the guest services on Princess ships of people taking them off tells me many will not. The choice is up to each cruise passenger.
That does not bode well for me. I have one DD who is vegetarian and one DD who is vegan.
I intend to write RCCL before hand. I hope that I fare better than the previous poster. I know when we were on the EPIC we had issues. She ate pasta marinara at least 4 times and got stuck with just steamed veggies the rest. We wound up going to the Asian fusion a few times and hit up the sushi bar a few times.
At least on the Allure they can do sushi but they always look forward to the Indian food on the menu. RCCL makes a mean aloo gobi.
There are always vegetarien items in the MDR, but honestly they are limited. The windjammer always has a large variety of fruits, vegetables, pastas, plus meatless Indian dishes. -
We did the eastbound T/A with Francois this past April/May on the Serenade. We found him to be very knowledgeable and interesting. He took the time to talk to everyone in the CL and did not just foucs entirely on the suite guests. We ran into him at least twice on the ports and on those occasions he came up to us and initiated the conversation. We would love to have him again.
We agree, we were there too. Thoroughly enjoyed having him.

Rather than an adults only cruise, when parents let their children basically run wild, RCCL enforce its own rules. IE Cameras "see"them playing elevator tag, ringing door bells, removing room service/make up room tags, diving into a pool etc. Over the years we have seen this type of behavior apparently tolerated over and over by "security."
-
Add us to those who really like and appreciate the gift basket.
-
While we do give RCCL an edge when comparing ships of equal size and age, they both provide a great cruising experience.

Are the TV's in the room flat screen or the old tube style?
Trying to form a picture in my mind if the rooms are "old" feeling or new and updated. We have a GS for a sailing in December.
Thanks!
You have a large flat screen tv that is on a swivel so you can watch it from the sitting area or from the sleeping area.

We were on the Navigator 12/4, 12/10 and 1/8/12 sailings. As was mentioned before, altho the ship is certainly showing wear, she is really a grand lady to sail on.
Despite showing signs of needing dry dock maintenance/repair, she is a very pretty ship and very clean. The crew reflects what I call a "happy ship" and the service they render is excellent.
As to the food, we prefer the Windjammer and the specialty restaurants so we offer nothing as to the MDR. In the WJ the breakfast offers a variety of foods and the specialty egg preparation is not to be missed. Lunch and dinner there are far less hectic than for breakfast, and makes available a much more varied food choices than are offered in the MDR. While both the specialty restaurants are good and well worth the money, our personal perferance is Chops.
On the Promenade the is the cafe where pizza, sandwiches, and pastries are available 24 hours a day all of which are very good.
There is no solarium cafe on this ship - but there is a Johnny Rockets.

Thanks for doing a great job with the list.

Here's his bio from the Explorer cruise I took in 2006.:

Here's a pic of us with him:
I remember him being very personable and patient.
He is a wonderful person - great sense of humor. We always enjoy sailing with him.

Has anyone found Captain Patrik?
-
We will be getting a special coupon book from our tathru from Princess - not the one that the ship gives to everyone. Can anyone tell us what is in it?:confused:

Thank you for keeping up this great list.

We certainly enjoyed doing it (if you somehow couldn't tell). She's a wonderful ship. Have a great cruise.
Thank you. I printed out the food guide and we can't wait to try the new choices.

Thank you for your wonderful review. We sail on her the end of November and look forward to eating our way around the ship.

Considering the rampant murder problem in Mexico, and the plain fact that no one knows where or when in that country it will surface, staying away seems prudent.

We had sailed on the Majesty several times and quite honestly it had been a good value. We do not have pictures, but the inside cabins are only 119 square feet. To sleep four, there are bunk beds with virtually no space to walk. This is a VERY small space, with 4 there would be very limited storage, and only one small toilet/shower. We have seen 4 adults in these rooms, generally under 30 who want a cheap cruise and are willing to put up with discomfort.
