  1. Ship : Summit

    Cabin #: 6019

    Deck #: 6

    Class: Ocean View 4 (04)

    Area: Forward (Way Forward)

Bed near: between bath and window (aft wall)

    Quiet?: Like a tomb

    Balcony view: N/A

    Balcony size: N/A

    Wind a problem?: No

    Soot a problem?: No

Problems/comments: Clean as a whistle when we boarded.  This is a slightly larger than normal 04  class stateroom. It's on a transition where the ship gets wider. The extra space is distributed on both sides of the bed.  Be aware that you are 14 cabins forward of the forward elevators, and the walk to the aft elevators, to access the main dining room, is pretty long.  I felt like we were walking all the way back to Bayonne 🙂  In any event, if you don't want a balcony, this cabin is a gem.

We sailed from May 5 thru May 12, 2019 from Bayonne to Bermuda.

  2. Two weekends ago... We drove onto Cape Liberty at 12:00.  Dropped checked bags smoothly. SO took her carry-on and went into the building. I drove to parking.  The parking structure was being used only for people with handicap placards.  All others were parking in uncovered lots pretty far away.

I walked back with my carry-on and we checked in with no trouble.

Note that at 9:30 the departing passengers may not yet have cleared the parking lots.

  3. When I use the "Find a Cruise" feature, I am presented with a host of different prices for the same cruise. Each agency offers certain bonus offers, some useless, some with a cash value.  How do they each get these different offers? Individual negotiation?   Why are these agencies useful over the actual cruise line booking?

    For instance, on page https://www.cruisecritic.com/cruiseto/itinerary-83320/?et_cid=3239020&et_rid=267042227&et_referrer=nav_site_login_us

The cruise line is listed as "from" $584, but the next listing is an agency, also "from" $584, but

just guessing but I have a iphone, ipad and laptop. and it's annoying to have to login and logout all the time.

I plan to bring a phone and a Chromebook, but given the prices, I will happily log the phone out when I want to use the Chromebook, but, admittedly, I am not doing WFS.

Still looking forward to blog posts from the original poster....
