I keep hearing that there is a overhang on Deck 10 I am in room 10614.  With the overhang what is it and will I miss out on the sun because of the overhang or it will not affect that much of the sun.  I love the sun should I move to a different deck or a different room where there is no overhang what ever it is.. PLEASE HELP

The pools, water slides, and water feature in Spice H20 are heated. Heated meaning not freezing and not hot. The hot tubs are obviously heated. 

 

The pools are used daily by guests. In August, we are normally in shorts and t-shirts at ports (unless you go on a shoreex to the glaciers). 

Okay well, I will pack a couple of swimsuits and see what the temperature is but I heard it does not get above 60 when doing an Alaska cruise..

I will be sailing on the August 2020 Alaska sailing and I was wondering since it will be cooler on the Alaska cruise.  Is there an indoor pool that I can enjoy????

Out of these 3 which one is the Best.

I was just going to ask this question because I wanted to go on the Victory but the time frame for the Sensation is more better. I know the Sensation is an older ship but how nice is it compared to the other older ships?

Not to be a kill joy, but with the way things are in Mexico right now, do really think it’s safe and recommended to travel so far and wide unsanctioned by Royal? Think about it.

I have been to the ruins twice on Cozumel. Both times we did the same thing: rented a car and drove to the ruins ourselves. Driving around Cozumel is easy, because there is one main road that loops around the island. It cuts through the middle of the island, going by the ruins. On the other side of the island is nothing but beaches, with stands that sell tacos, drinks, and souvenirs every so many miles.

 

We have done it twice, and it is a lot of fun!

Normally I am all for DIY but I would advise against taking the ferry to Playa Del Carmen and booking a tour to Coba, Chichen Itza or Tulum on your own. There are large distances involved. Those sites should be booked thru the cruise line. Coba, Tulum or Chichen Itza are the sites you would want to go to.

Yeah I know. Thank you for the information and letting me know that they are a distance and may risk not getting back in time, although we are there until 7 if we leave early we should get back in time...

If you mean the San Gervasio Mayan Archaeological Site (right on Cozumel), we hired a driver (Tours Plaza) and that is one of the places we had him take us.

We took the ferry across to Playa Del Carmen, then went to Tullum (twice) and Chichen Itza (once). I definitely recommend doing one of these.

Hello, Have never been to Cozumel. Are their outside vendors for tours looking to do research on the RUINS in Cozumel, maybe for a cheaper price just wonder if anyone have used outside vendors... I'm just asking I know the risk but sometime people have done tours with outside vendors and have recommendations??????????

Portofino was RC's original Italian restaurant, when they first began to have specialty restaurants on the ships, back in 1999.

As you can see, I borrowed these from Gambee's cruise website. These are not the most recent menus. You can see that there is no octopus. I don't recall ever seeing octopus at Giovanni's Table. But that could be my memory. ;)

To answer the questions above, they are not the same. There are many kinds of Italian cuisine. Giovanni's Table is a more "traditional" pasta-based menu, with other things, of course. It is closer to what many people consider "Italian", particularly if they don't live in a large city with many options.

 

Jamie's Italian is an English chef's take on upscale Italian-ish cuisine, and it is much less pasta-centric.

I am basing this review on someone saying that Giovanni's Yoki is so much better and the Filet is good. The Panchatta (sp) and the Octopus. Not sure if these are served at Jamie's or NOT..????
