yes, but why would one choose this? What could be the situation where this type of coverage would be the choice
I have bought this before. It is very low cost compared to more coverage. It was on a cruise that I was flying in days ahead of time, and I was healthy and young(er). I only wanted the medical emergency coverage.
It is the same as car insurance (Do you have comprehensive or only collision? Is it $100 deductible or $1000 deductible?) Sometimes it is best to buy what you need.
-
I believe the essentials coverage starts at the time you board. So, it includes none of the travel to the port, or any trip cancellation. It is basically to cover medical emergencies.
-
So it is hard to compare prices with other cruise lines. Taht is probably why I like NCL.

What is the current per person per day price for the beverage package on Royal?
-
When I follow that link the cruises listed show 1 additional point per night, not the 2. I suppose if I went through the 125 cruises listed, I would find some that were 2 extra points. But it would be better if it was a filter.

The current latitudes benefit:
TWO EXTRA LATITUDES POINTS PER NIGHT ON SELECT CRUISES
Booking Window: November 9, 2022 - January 31, 2023 11:59 pm ESTDoes anyone know how to search for which cruises are the "Select Cruises"?
When I search on the NCL web site for Latitude specials, it includes cruises with only 1 extra point...

In number 2 of the terms.
Limit one CruiseFirst certificate that may be used per reservation.

In the past, I have been able to get a pasta as an appetizer, and still order a main course.

I have used NCL air twice, both with good flights and no problems. You have to realize that the people that tend to post are the ones that encounter problems. I am booked again in December and have the air promo booked again.

We don’t blow a specialty dining credit on it, but my DH likes the baked potato covered in BBQ. We will just go and pay out of pocket for something different. But it’s NEVER crowded.
I think the "credit" is what creates the impression that it was not good. Before NCL used dining credits and every restaurant had a flat rate the restaurants were always full. If you were charged $35 a person for Cagney's but $10 for Q, the reviews would be much different. Q is not Cagney's, but they both require the same "dining credit".

We must be the odd balls as we enjoy it. I wouldn’t say that it is the best bbq we have ever had, but everything we had was very good. We also enjoy the live music and smoked peach margaritas. The banana pudding is delicious!!
Our experience was the same. We loved it. After all the poor reviews we were not sure we were going to try it. But it was great, and we would do it again.

I was on the whale watching catamaran the week of December 12th. It was the first week the whale watching was offered this year. The catamaran was large and there was probably 80 people on board. We only saw a few whales from a distance and were not able to get close. The catamaran is very slow at getting to a sighting when the whale is seen in the distance.
I have been on a different whale watching tour many years ago. It was a small speedboat and we saw many whales up close. It was a completely different experience.
The catamaran was fine. I also guess the week that you go makes a difference. Maybe I was too early in the season this year. We still had fun on the tour.

my issue is i completed mine but my guest when i sign up for the covid test it says account already exists , but it does not exist yet for them only me.
even mine it says number 7 says completed and accepted but no check mark.
I realized today that on the Eurofins website, once one account / registration is created, you can just add all the guests in the cabin to that reservation instead of registering everyone individually.

The whole ship is great, but where you spend your time will be up to personal preferences. For my wife an I we spent a lot of time at the Observation lounge, H2O Spice, and The Local (for breakfast and a few lunches).

Has anyone sailed NCL on a B2B since the restart? Was there another covid test administered prior to the second week?

On the Gem in September and the Glacier Blue was "on tap" as well as the Passion Fruit Lime Cooler.
The Glacier Blue was $12 and included in the drink package.
And very good! 😀

I will just add that there is a delay between the email with the flight info and the flights showing on the Online vacation summary. For me it took a week. So if you miss the email, it may take a few days for you to see the info.
-
I would add that other than masks in the cruise terminal, And crew members wearing masks, there were no differences in activities or services from NCL cruises pre-covid.

Paper copies were also left in our cabin each day.

If anyone is interested here are 6 of the 7 days from the September 26, 2021 sailing of NCL Gem out of Miami.
I missed the first day because I didn't realize I could download them to my phone.
The cruise was excellent especially the entertainment!!!

I didn't check the cost on board so not sure. I probably wouldn't do it again.
I think it was $19.95 on board the Gem a few weeks ago. So you save $3 (+20% gratuity) is all.

You can view the different options here:
If you follow the links to the Club Balcony Suite it lists the included amenities.
