I have read all the posts in this thread and I can't thank you all enough for helping me be comfortable with my decision to have a burial at sea. My husband and I loved cruising and his retirement job was working on ships where he sailed to many parts of the world. We already had a cruise booked in October when he passed away in July. I was going to cancel the cruise but after much thought have decided to go on our last cruise together and release his ashes in the ocean where he loved to be. My big decision now is how to do this. I have been looking for an urn that we can use to scatter and also drop in the ocean. His sister and her husband are travelling with me. Nwcruiselover mentioned that they had a biodegradable one. Where would I find that?
I am on this cruise with my sister-in-law and brother-in law. It is bittersweet because my husband and I were booked on this cruise but he passed away in July. We both loved cruising so I am still going. even though I am nervous about it.
Thank you Sailor75. I looked up both of those threads and it helped me a lot. My husband passed away last month and we have a cruise booked on the Venezia in October so I am trying to find out whatever I can. We both loved cruising and anything to do with the ocean.
I leave Saturday on the Seascape and I have been looking for emergency contact information to leave with my family. I would appreciate any input as this is my first MSC cruise and so far I have had a lot of difficulty obtaining information from them.
Same here. I wonder if they only match if you have been diamond on Carnival a long time or for many cruises. For me it was only 5 years and 4 cruises and I got MSC gold not diamond.
My Navigator says there is a problem connecting to the network. Try again later. Well I did and later didn't work either, I will be on the Zaandam on 5/6, Wonder if that matters.
