    Celebrity Bottled/canned water $4, Evian $4, San Pellegrino $4, Canned Soda $4

The latest prices are listed in the Dining/Bar & Lounges tab of the app.

Does the $4 price for canned soda and bottled water include the extra tips/fees/taxes?  Is it less expensive for fountain sodas?

    You didn't say which Cruiseline...
At some point the Cruiseline will most likely have a couple of B2B excursions available

Anything specific you'd like to see - other than Bears?

We will be on Celebrity and they are only showing 1 excursion that does not involve an airport transfer.  We've been to Alaska at least a dozen times but never Seward.  All my sister wants to see is bears, bears, and more bears.  Lol.  Thanks for replying.

  3. We are doing a Back to Back from Vancouver to Seward and then Seward to Vancouver in June.  What excursions are near Seward?  I only can find transfers and tours that start or end in Anchorage at the airport.  We are interested in any Bear/Wildlife/More Bears excursions in Seward, AK.  The ship arrives in Seward, AK in the AM and departs at 8:00pm, so I assume All Aboard would be 6:00pm - 2 hours before sailing since it is Day 1 for Southbound?   We are in the same cabin for both Northbound and Southbound so we will have no luggage.  Any ideas?

They are cutting back on the offers. we are just off the Crown Princess where I had 14,000 plus points and got a free balcony offer with $600 casino free play - no princess plus as I have usually had in the past.

I guess with the ships being more occupied the need for casino players is going down.

How do you find out how many casino princess players points you have?  I tried asking the casino cashier on the Crown and they sent out a "manager?" and then he went to the back room for a few minutes and came back and said my son had 0.62 and my youngest nephew had 1.3 or something like that but I don't think those were plus points, even though they've been playing for hours every night for the past 8 days sometimes twice a day.  Granted, their bets were small, between $10 - $50 on black jack and roulette, but how do you know if you earned enough for a free drink or something else?  My other nephew was able to get this current cruise we were on for $200 off per person and $100 OBC and he played only a few times, 4 years ago with very small bets, pre-covid.  The only thing that the manager said was that my youngest nephew could have a drink as a one time exception or something like that, but he is 19, so that was pointless.  My son received, I think, a "bounce back" offer on the last day of $150 OBC to be used within a few months, which is useless since we aren't going to plan another $12K+ (we stay in club class and up on 10+ day cruises) cruise just to use the minuscule OBC.  Plus he spent way less that the others and they didn't get anything.  How does this all work?  It doesn't make any sense.

D736 is such a nice cabin with a great balcony.

I asked earlier about the Aft, because some of it, not all of it, looks like soot from the exhaust system outside. But, yours is coming from the inside.

Sure hope they can fix it for you. Let us know how they handle this.

They came twice to "fix" it.  We weren't there the first time and whatever he did, did not remedy the situation.  So, I took down the grill/grate myself and wet a cloth napkin and reached inside to figure out what it was.  I wiped the sides and inside as much as I could.  I took pictures of the inside to try and figure it out myself.  The napkin was black.  So when they came the 2nd time, we showed them the evidence and they brought in tarps, covered the furniture and did something while we were on the balcony for the Endicott Arm cruising.  After that, the particles were reduced tremendously.  Only a few specks showed up after on the chair.  We were going to ask our neighbors if they had this problem too, but we never saw them.  So, if you are in a cabin from now on, put a solid colored chair under the vent and see if particles drop.  We couldn't see them on the other furniture or carpet because they had patterns and blended colors.  We also suspect something happened in that room previously because the carpet was new and none of the rooms around us had that same carpet pattern.

  6. We are back and it is definitely 18 and up.  It just sucked that a crew member put a damper on their first nights.  After we confirmed with the Purser’s/guest services desk and Gean, the passenger services crew member, called Skywalkers and double confirmed, Gean gave us his card to flash if they had any more issues.  Gean, on the Crown, was the best guest services crew member and he helped with any issue we had, big or small.

  7. Juneau:  It’s 11:12 pm and we haven’t left port. All aboard was 8:30pm. We heard someone in the elevator say that 2 people are missing. Anyone know what the real story is?

Nightclub is 18 and up. Drinking is 21 and up on US departures.

    Casino is 18 and up

    Shows

    Game shows

    Music in different lounges

All perfectly fine for 20 year olds.

They can do everything aboard except buy a drink - on US departures..

We are currently on the Crown and my 20 year old nephew was told he couldn’t be in Skywalkers unless he had a parent with him. What’s up with that?

Can't really tell from the photos, but I would suspect that this is from the "fresh air" AC system, so moving to another room may not solve the problem, as that system supplies many cabins in common.  It looks to me like the air filter in the air handler has plugged up, and blown through, allowing particulate matter, like from the engine exhausts (and some looks like it was in the filter for a while, and got salt encrusted), to travel through the ductwork.  The "stringy" bits in the top right photo look like a piece of the air filter.

That kinda makes sense. We will check with our neighbors if they noticed this too.  And I will talk to maintenance again.   We are on this ship for 8 more days. There are no other comparable rooms to move us to since we are in a suite and only insides are left.

Did NOT notice anything like this in Nov/Dec OB 28 nights.

Are in an Aft facing cabin?  Deck and location?

Yes we are in an aft cabin, Crown, D736 but this is happening when the door is closed. We purposely closed the doors, cleaned off the chair and table and did not open anything for a few hours.  We also cleaned the outside tables and chairs and these particles were not on them.

  11. Has anyone experienced or noticed small particles/debris coming out of the air conditioner on the ceiling or just in the rooms?  There seems to be small specks of mostly black particles landing on everything. Some have blue or yellow in them too.  I’ve taken close up pictures to try and figure out what they are.  We’ve had maintenance come in to clean out the vent but it’s still happening.  What could these things be?  Was there a fire or other incident on the Crown where this could be coming from?  They are very small but can be seen on the chairs and tables.

  12. What are the current rules for age requirements to be in Skywalkers?  I’m not asking drinking age, I’m just asking if there are any specific times that 20 year olds get kicked out?  What is there for a 20 year old to do at night when the rest of the adults and family members over 21 are hanging out there dancing? I thought it was 18 years old to physically be in there at night?

  13. Out of my family that usually gambles on the ship, my youngest nephew, was 19 on that cruise, was the only person that received an offer.  It was a small reduction in cruise fair for the 1st 2 people in the room and $100 free play.  Now that he is older, and plays more, hopefully he will get a better offer.  It makes no sense how they calculate it because I know, older family members spent more and got nothing offered.

How does it work if you book your next cruise while you are on the ship and get FCC and then when you get home, you get an offer from the casino?  Can the bookings be switched?

I was just there in May and from what I can remember:

The taxi line into the garage is quite organized. I arrived via taxi at around 10:30 AM.

The waiting area is slightly organized, with rows of folding chairs. Yes, it is crowded. Once boarding begins, it becomes a chaotic mess. Lines form from all directions, which eventually morphs into one single line. But everyone was respectful when all the lines were merging into one.

And while first boarding was scheduled to begin at 11 AM, it really didn't start until 11:30 AM.

On disembarkation day, the taxi line to exit the terminal is very organized too.

Where do the taxis drop you off?  Can you hand your luggage over to the porters or do you have to lug your luggage up an elevator like a lot of people says happens.  Can Ubers and Lyfts drop off where the taxis go or is there a special place for them too?

My wife especially loves the formal nights, and I don't mind them.  I would just as soon not bring a tux - but I was curious about how many men wear tuxes on Alaska cruises. There were quite a few on the TA's we have been on.

My son, age 22, is going to wear a tux with a vest and a tie that he already owns from a cruise in 2019. This will be on a 10 day Alaska next week.  He is excited to wear it.  At least one young adult is still into formal nights.  His cousin would be too if he didn't loose his pants to the suit and they just found out today.  So I guess my son will be overdressed but he is okay with that.  He looks really sharp and we will get some nice family pictures.

  16. What brand of waters do they have on the Crown in Alaska?  There is a specific reason why I am asking.  I already know the water is safe to drink onboard.  Stateroom Bottled Water Package $7.08 for 12 (500 ml) bottles

12 (500 ml) bottles of water conveniently delivered to the stateroom. Price includes service charge.

    Pre-cruise exclusive

  17. We will be on the Crown next week and my sister has asked me 4 times now if they still do the Ship Tour.  I can't find the answer through the search bar.    Also, on another post, they said that Crab Shack is Back but I can't find any info on it on the Princess website.  If anyone is on the Crown or an Alaskan cruise right now, are they currently having the Crab Shack and if so, which days?  And if anyone remembers from years past, what days did they normally have it for a 10 day with 4 sea days, 1 glacier cruising day and 5 ports?  Thanks.

  18. What questions do they ask on the scanner?  i saw a video awhile back that someone brought 2 laptops with him on his trip, one personal and one for work.  They made him pay fees/taxes/penalties  for the second one since they didn't believe that they were both for him.  They said that he was going to leave it, like it was a gift for someone.  What exactly do you have to declare?  Do you have to list all your electronics and jewelry over the $800 even though its personal and not gifts?

  19. On the Crown, for the upcoming June 13th - 23rd Alaskan Cruise, the sign ups are on Day 1 at 9:45-10:00am and the drop is a few hours later, at 1:30pm same day.  That doesn't give much time for the newbies to figure it out.  It is better if there is a few days in between to get creative or at least have it on Day 2 or another sea day.

  20. If you buy the $500 at $450 and add it to your onboard account, what happens if you don't spend it all?  Is it put back on the gift card?  Can you cash it out at the casino? Can you apply it to a future cruise? And what happens if you cancel that future cruise?
