  1. This was just posted today on another thread - On Anthem 3/27 Lazy notes and Quickies

Movie times are 7 and 10pm, here's the listing so far for 3/27 sailing

    Night 1---no movie

    Night 2---Selma

    Night 3---The Great Gatsby

    Night 4---The Intern

    Night 5---Creed

    Night 6--- Bridge of Spies

Night 7--- Teen only Pool movie

    Night 8---Wizard of Oz

    Night 9---Selma

    Night 10--Spectre

  2. We currently are booked in two connecting Superior Balcony rooms and a Royal Family Suite just opened up. Anthem of the Seas 5 night to Bermuda in June. I was told that if we upgrade, we would have to cancel one of the current bookings and transfer the other booking to the suite. Because of this, my two children in the cancelled reservation would also loose all of our existing dining, activity, entertainment, etc. reservations. Their are no current spots available for any of our dining times to add them back in unless we change dining rooms all together on all nights and change times to very late. All activities that we currently have booked for premium times for the Flow Rider, the iFly and the Northstar are not available for any times at all. I've talked to 2 customer service reps and they say that it would be hard to get those reservations back because once they go back into the inventory, someone else could snatch them up. And because I just recently transferred our reservations to a travel agency, it would be even harder because now they are the middleman.

So we need advice. Is it worth it to upgrade to the suite and pay an extra $5,019 but loose all of our reservations?

  3. What do they say the definition of a minor is? Under 18 years old or under 21 years old? Right now, I have my niece (18) booked with me in one room connecting with the internal door to a room with my kids, (18) and (15). Do I have to still get written notorized permission for my niece to sail with us even though she is 18?

  4. When I first read the OP's situation, I thought she meant that the steward packed her suitcase 90% and left out things for her to wear. But after reading everyone's posts, it was just that the steward rearranged the closet to put the hangers in order?

I would be okay with that as long as the steward didn't go through the closed drawers. We also have had things that we left out on the tables or desk straightened up or blankets and jackets folded or moved to a chair. I'm also okay with the stewards using left out visible items like sunglasses to add to the towels animals. But I would not be okay if they opened drawers to find stuff.

  5. People in line should keep their eye off of other weight except the crew member. I am sure all get weighed regardless of how you light, thin, bigger etc. it standard procedure.

Sent from my iPhone using Forums mobile app

A lot of people aren't that considerate, especially kids. Most people just naturally look if they are the few next in line. My kids always try and figure out my weight, so again, can people in line see the readings?

  6. Just pick any other sailing and put in false information (e.g. John Smith, 1234567) to look at the pricing :)

Looks like the prices haven't changed recently. $175 for 10 digitals, $250 for 15 digitals, $300 for all digitals, and $400 for all digitals and prints.

If you start off by buying only 10 digitals for $175 and get your CD while on board, you can add more (e.g. singles, multiples) later after you pop the CD into your computer at home. Your CD is pre-loaded with the credits you paid for. You can pay for extra photo credits and then choose the additional JPEGs you want from the thumbnails. The CD contains ALL of your photos; it's just a matter of having enough credit to decrypt additional images you want.

    Hope that helps!

I tried entering John Smith and 1234567 and it said : Please double check your last name and reservation number. So I couldn't do a mock check of prices for a 5 night cruise. Are the 5 night cruise packages less expensive?

Also, how are people reporting that they took 800 pictures on one cruise? Do the photographers take dozens of pictures per background?

What does it mean when it says: "Unlimited" photos means all the photos in your photo kiosk account and/or all the photo prints that YOU collect while adhering to these terms? Does this mean that there are digital photos like on a computer screen and printed photos like the old days where they line up thousands of pictures on the walls and you have to sift through them to find your photos?

Does RCL do the photo file books like the Disney ships? Where all of your printed pictures are already in a file folder so no searching for them?

  7. I've read a lot of ways to get from ERW to Cape Liberty but can't find any reasonable way on how to get from Cape Liberty after the cruise is over to the Times Square hotels. There will be 5 of us with 5 large luggage and 5 carry-ons so taxis won't work because they only seat 4 so unless we take 2. I've read that there are larger taxis but on weekdays, they are hard to get. Plus there is a super long line to get them. We can't take a train or a subway because of too much luggage. I've read that Uber is being restricted/banned from picking up at Cape Liberty and in New Jersey. I've called Enterprise car rental in Bayonne, the closest rental agency to the pier, and they state that they do not allow drop offs at their Times Square location (only 2 blocks from our hotel), only at the airports for an extra $100 fee. So that is out of the question because then I would have to figure out how I would get to the hotel from the airport. I've emailed a highly rated car service and they quoted me $275 for the 20 mile trip. Why is this trip such a logistics nightmare?

So are my only options is to hire a car service or take 2 taxis and split up my family? How do other people do this trip without having to pay a fortune for 20 miles?

  8. Did you book through a TA or directly? Sometimes a TA doesn't want to take the time/effort to call which is what must be done to have kids in a separate cabin.

I booked directly through RCL. She also started to tell me that I needed written permission to take my niece on the cruise from her parents until I reminded her that she is 18, a legal adult, so no written permission necessary. That would have been weird.

  9. When I booked two cabins for my family which is myself, my sister, my daughter (18), my son (15) and my niece (18), they made me put myself, my sister and my niece in one room and my daughter and son in the other room. These are connecting rooms so the internal door will be open. Now we will have to switch on the ship and get extra cabin keys. Why wouldn't they let my niece be booked with my kids? It would be so much easier if things were straight before we got on the ship.

  10. Here is something different. Go to the 7-eleven on Government St., the main shopping street, and buy one of each Canadian candy bars that you can't buy in the United States. My kids had fun trying different kinds that they have never had before. One is the Kinder Eggs with a prize inside. These are banned in the United States because of the choking hazard but your son is old enough to know to not eat the toy inside. One of my favorites is the Wunderbar by Cadbury. The clerks are very helpful in letting you know which ones are Canadian.

We also did a 2nd whale watching tour because there were Orcas (killer whales) in the area. We did the 1st one on the same trip in Juneau where we saw the humpback whales. It was awesome to see the differences between the two types of whales and how they interacted.

  11. The current WOW sale (excerpt of T&Cs):

"Offer is not combinable with any other offer or promotion, including, but not limited to Interline, Travel Agent, Travel Agent Friends and Family, weekly Sales Events, Net Rates, Shareholder Benefits, and Crown & Anchor Discount programs or rates."

I believe this is why you didn't get OBC.

Sometimes you can get a better deal by forgoing the C&A discount and taking advantage of whatever the current promotion is...

What does it mean: Travel agent offer or promotion? Does that mean if you are a travel agent or if you book through a travel agent and they give you additional OBC or goodies like free specialty dinners or soda packages?

  12. I just recently changed our third person to my sister and I asked about what would happen to all of our reservations for dinners and shows. He said it would be fine so after I got off the phone, I checked our reservations and the name was changed to my sisters. All is good. As long as I don't take myself off since I am the primary, then I won't lose the reservations.

But now my sister might not be able to go and we are in a three person cabin that we picked specifically for the location that we wanted. I've read on cruise critic on a few different posts that if you remove one person from the booking, RCL could take that cabin away from you and move you to a two person cabin if they need a three person cabin for another group. So be careful if you want to keep the cabin that you are currently in. I want to keep the cabin since it is a connecting cabin, so if my sister backs out, I'm still going to pay for the third person rate to guarantee that it can't be taken from me for that reason. I don't want to give up the connecting rooms. I don't know how many times that actually has been done, but with my luck, it would happen to me.

  13. What about looking into suites? They usually have larger bathrooms. On the Princess ships, the vista suites are nice. There is a separate large shower and a jacuzzi tub and a separate room with the toilet that is larger. Or accessible/handicapped rooms usually are larger too and easier to move around in. Those bathrooms accommodate wheelchairs. I read that the new Royal Caribbean ships have shower doors that are rounded making the shower easier to use so that might be an option. Try searching pictures and videos of various cabins so you can get ideas.
