Just received this blast from our tour operator about water levels impacting Danube river cruises: "As you may be aware, parts of Europe have been experiencing high winds and unusually heavy rains due to a low-pressure system, Storm Boris. This has resulted in flooding across central and eastern Europe. While Budapest levels are due to peak in the next 24 hours we have seen significant drops in river levels in other parts of eastern Europe." "As a consequence, water levels on sections of the Danube River are higher than normal, impacting navigation for all vessels, specifically for our cruises visiting Vienna and Budapest. These levels may lead to temporary halts in navigation in some areas." Our booking is with Emerald, but will be following this thread for any news prior to our Sept. 29 embarcation from Munich to Budapest.
