  1. Thank you We have a deal in the UK at the minute that puts premier at the same price as plus, so wanting to book with that. My nephew will be 20 next year... think he will be a little disappointed when he realises that he will be under the US drinking age.
  2. Thankyou, Sounds like we can do as we planned. Great tip on the wifi, I hadn't thought of that.
  3. Hi We are looking at making a family group booking for next year. My brother sister in law will be bringing their two children aged 20 and 18 and we are hoping to get them in their own room. I read that Princess have a minimum age of 21 for adults in there own cabin, but then also read that this lowered to 16 if travelling as a family group. We are looking at balcony cabins, a friend advised me that we might have to make the booking with one adult listed in each room with one of the children and swap around after sailing, not sure how this would work with the medallions as they are programmed to specific rooms. Also we are looking at booking the cruise only rate for the kids as they will be too young to benefit from the drinks package and don't think the other perks will appeal to them. Does anybody have experience of doing something similar recently? Any tips are appreciated. Ben
  4. I've just been on chat trying to confirm what's going on. They have confirmed that this looks like a glitch, the offer in the UK hasn't changed. Should still get speciality dining, photos etc with the UK Offer.
  5. Hi We are looking at booking for Alaska 2025. We usually book premier as we like the speciality dining, the photos, and the $20 drink limit. Looking at the list of benefits when I go through the booking process it looks as though a few things are no longer included. It no longer lists speciality dining, Princess Prizes, or Photos as a benefit for the premier package. Did they change things again recently? The benefits still show when you read the info on the main website, just not when making this particular booking (Discovery Princess 24 Aug 2025) Did I miss something?
  6. Whoops, accidentally booked on to the transatlantic, not sure how we will cope with 7 days at sea, but willing to give it a go. Can't wait to see how they improve on the original Prima concept. The countdown begins... 512 days to go!
  7. So having had the delay confirmed this week and with several European ports now showing Brilliant Lady on their schedule for May-Sep 2024 do you think it likely that she will be staying in Europe for her first season? She's showing in Zebrugge and Amsterdam still so do you think further portsmouth sailings will be announced?
  8. We are on her now, she is still a fabulous ship. Only dissapointment so far has been Sabatinis, it was the worst meal we have ever had at sea. They need to have a big rethink and try and bring that place up to the same standard as the new Catch restaurant. All areas of the ship look fresh and the crew are all fabulous. Sad that we won't have more of this ship class in Europe next year.
  9. Looks like you know what to do regarding your booking now. I just wanted to recommend Catch by Rudi if you have it on your ship. We ate there last night on Sky and it was amazing. Best meal we've ever had with Princess.
  10. Great reviews so far, picked up some hints ahead of our sailing in August. Enjoy the rest of your trip.
  11. Has anybody seen a glimpse of the 2024 schedule for Bermuda yet? I can see that bookings will open on Wednesday, its just that I've usually had sight of of the dates by now. Been holding off booking with NCL until I see what Celebrity has to offer. Any travel agents out there had the info yet?
  12. There is a series in the UK on Channel 5 called The Cruise. Its based on the crew and passengers on board Scarlet Lady. I think its on on Sunday nights at 9pm UK time. You might be able to watch through 5ondemand (channel5dotcom) through a VPN.
  13. Our friends arrived just after 10:30 last week and were straight onboard, might be worth a try.
  14. We found a lady called Krisna on a table that had been set up near the guest relations desk on embarkation day. She was great at sorting out our reservations - a quite complex group of 8 some who had already booked and paid, some who hadn't. Look out for her she was great.
  15. I was onboard this ship also and it did seem like a party cruise at times. I think many passengers became rude through frustration at being unable to actually get a drink. Every bar and dining area was severely understaffed, I witnessed wait times of 40+minutes at times in the bars and barely saw any waiting staff, we gave up trying on more than one occasion. Dining rooms and the buffet could also not cope with the demand, service was terrible I felt so sorry for the staff trying to service a full ship when they were obviously only staffed for a much lower capacity. I doubt we will ever book anything shorter than 7 days again.
  16. Champagne has been difficult to track down, but we have found it. Ensemble Bar has Cattier Brut by the glass and its covered by the premium drinks package.
  17. Stephen Cookson Observational comedy and one liners
  18. We are currently onboard Silhouette, 4 night mini cruise. Anybody have questions?
  19. The comedian last night was terrible almost everybody at the 7pm show walked out. I've never seen a reaction quite like it.
  20. It's amazing Pool deck is busy on sea days, buffet is rammed 9-10:30 Other than that its fabulous. I don't want to get off.
  21. We couldn't resist the prices they were offering for Summit, the Pacific Coastal cruise on 1st April has some amazing ports and the overnight in San Fran is such a bonus. This will be our first time cruising that coast but we have visited the area many times and prefer it to Florida.
