I'm up this week as well, from 137.2 to 137.5 and I'll take it as there were way too many birthdays this week in our family. One more birthday this weekend and it will go much more smoothly hopefully.

What is your motivation? This is mine. I have a picture of myself in a bathing suit from last year's cruise and hoping to post what I look like this year.

Back at it, yay! Foot is all healed.
Last week stayed the same at 138.2 and this week I'm at 137.2
Back to my 1# a week hopefully. I'm also weight training so expecting a slow loss. Doing non scale measurements too such as trying on pants that were super tight.

Hubby's supposed to pick up something healthy for dinner tonight.
My hubby's idea of a healthy meal is pizza and garlic fingers, hope it better than that, heehee

I eat breakfast, only because when I get to work, I never know when my morning break will happen. I never feel an urge to eat so its usually something small and hearty as I might not eat again until lunch if no break is available. Usually oatmeal, eggs or a protein shake.
You sure are up early today!

Now where is everyone else? Not talking
I'm at work, trying hard to behave with cheesecake and chocolates in the office this week, oh my! My 2 faves! Haven't touched the cheesecake yet but had a chocolate, the last one in the box so no more temptation. Eating salad with salsa as a snack today, mmmmm

On a tour in Charlottetown P.E.I , we went on the panoramic tour (RCCL). The bus driver gave each passenger a bag of chips. They were delicious! Looking for the name of the chips. Anybody know?
,
Do you have a picture of the empty bag? I live a couple of hours from PEI and went to a potato chip factory with our kids, plain chips just out of their huge fryer, they were some good. They don't do tours any more unfortunately

My husband and I sometimes split meals, but it's usually each having a different entree and we eat our half then trade plates
I like this idea!! Going to try this on our next cruise.
I usually end up eating too much on cruises and come home with a weight gain but I know that it will be gone in a few weeks, so I don't worry about it much.
We take only the stairs, not the elevator; try to go around the walking track before dinner, then go change for the evening and enjoy ourselves. We don't drink alcohol so we buy a non alcoholic drink two or three times during the trip. Lunch is always a salad with some protein thrown in and since I'm a sucker for dessert (my big downfall), I limit myself to one a day. I've seen myself on our first couple of cruises to eat 5, yes 5 desserts a day so now I'm getting much better at it.

I really enjoy all of your input, it helps motivate me so much!!
Welcome back Belle, what was the best part of your cruise? Love your poems💕 I always read them to hubby and he likes them too. He has no weight to lose, even should gain a few # but he tries to eat his junk food while I'm at work.
Congrats on all the losers, the only time I want my name being associated with being a loser 🤣
I'm like everyone who either maintained or gained this week, stayed the same at 138.2 but that was watching what I ate without exercising, I was able to do some upper body work. My foot is much better and I finally was able to get an exercise session in yesterday and will also today but going slowly to make sure it's all good in there.

outside the home in over 15 years, but possibly contribute more economically as a homemaker than I did in a "paycheck" job. Having the time to really pay attention to our budget and finances, doing more scratch cooking, less transportation costs/clothing costs/etc. made a big difference for us.
I sure hope you're right. I wouldn't want to leave cruising behind but I will work part time if I have to in order to get my fix, lol

Rome and Greece sound wonderful. We've mostly stuck to the Atlantic coast (a few Canada trips along with Bahamas/Caribbean), but hope to do farther travel once our youngest is out of school.
This I'd our first cruise outside of the Caribbean so it's a big deal for us. We probably won't be able to once I retire next year so we're spending the big bucks now while we have them lol

My best meals have been on Holland American ships
We have only been on 3 cruises, Princess, RCL and Holland America and by far of the 3, Holland America surpassed the other 2 by far.

Calamari on Santorini!!! We've never had calamari anywhere else that even came close to being that good! The rings were huge and snow white!
We will be in Santorini in May, do you happen to remember the name of the restaurant so we can check it out?

Rome. Cafe Brancaccio. Best freaking pizza ever, anywhere. It is not in a tourist area.
We are headed there in May, will definitely check it out, thanks

Aw, JenGi, sorry to hear about the fall. Hope it's nothing serious and you heal soon.
I saw the doctor this morning and only a couple of strained ligaments, nothing broken. I won't be jogging any marathons for the next few days, but it already feels better than yesterday.

This post made me laugh out loud! I work at a post office and see lots of Amazon parcels every day.
I weigh 138 right now so that is why the low calorie count. It sure is tough staying with that budget but for the most part, I do.
We are flying to Rome, staying there 3 days before our 10 night Greek Isles cruise on the Explorer of the Seas, can't wait!!
We usually go to the Caribbean and decided to go on a big one before I retire and can't afford it any longer.

I also stayed the same this week. My clothes feel just a wee bit looser though and that's good☺. I fell this morning at work and twisted my foot a bit☹. Off to the doctor tomorrow to get it checked out. Will be a problem getting my steps in for a few days. 😞

Eating about 1200 calories and exercising will do it for me. How about you?
I'm doing the same as you are. Its been difficult for me to exercise lately, too cold outside but still trying.
You are both doing awesome. I've been trying to lose a pound a week and so far it's been exactly that. I started on Jan 2nd and have lost a pound each week since.
I also do the lose it app and love it although it gave me less than 1200 calories per day. I maintain 1200 calories anyway and do exercise In the morning when I get out of bed. My job is a sit down most of the day thing so it doesn't help with weight loss.
Have a great trip in a couple of weeks. I still have to wait until mid May before mine.

I'm following this thread and love all the wonderful ideas I've heard from you. We are in Rome for about 5 days before our cruise in mid May.
Does anyone know what the weather will be like? Will we be able to eat outside at these trattoria?
A funny thing happened to us in the U.S.A - we had breakfast at the hotel which was included and took a picture of ourselves in front of the hotel to send to our kids and one of them asked how the breakfast was? I said it was not the best. He said " Really? The IHOP is always delicious!" We didn't know what IHOP was at the time as there aren't any in Canada yet, which was right beside our hotel. We sure do now! Hahahah

Start: 208.6
Goal 5/14 (next cruise): 20# loss
Goal 10/22 (just after 25th anniversary): another 25# loss
Goal end of year: finish weight of 155#
I really like your goal for the year. Although I have less than you to lose, the struggle is still there. Here are my stats as I love this accountability exercise:
Start:140.5 (January 2, 2020 - just didn't have the guts to weigh in on the 1st)
Goal 5/17 (next cruise): 20.5# loss
Goal end of year: finish weight of 120# that I can maintain from May to end of year
Pacruise804, we are sailing approximately lthe same date in May, we are going on the Greek Isles cruise out of Civitavecchia, leaving May 17. I'm hoping to get to my goal weight by then.
Looks like I will be losing weight at a 1# increment per week. Another one down this week, now at 138.2

If you’re in Italy on a day that’s cool enough to entertain the thought, try a hot chocolate. Italian hot chocolate is the bees’ knees! It’s thick enough to stand the spoon up in the cup, and very rich and yummy.
That sounds like something that I want to try. We will be there the last 3 weeks of May, will it be cool enough?

Chocolate milk or water it is then.
2-20-20 Thursday Weigh-In....Had to start it so you wouldn't forget me

We have Family Day too but my company makes us work since we're Federal and they tell us this holiday is Provincial. So we don't tell anyone we're open, haha, makes for a very quiet day.
