If you want to go up on a glacier and ride dog sled you must go in May. They don’t run in Sept, because snow is gone.

I book three independent excursions - Costal Helicopters, Glacier Winds, and Alaska Shore Excursions. Some operator did not open bookings until Thanksgiving for May sailings. Others informed me staff will not be onboard until after New Year. I have all tours booked for our sailing now. I have found times and $$$ more conducive booking privately where I could.

I would advise watching where you stay as we have found the city to be hilly. Thus, if your planning on walking with luggage it can be challenging. We have chosen the Pan Pacific for convenience and our well being!

I have booked an independent tours in ISP Glacier Winds whale watching. Nice thing is you do not have to pay until about 6 weeks before the cruise. You only pay a small deposit.

In Juneau, Celebrity was much more expensive on their Dog Sled tours than the independent.companies. Thus, we booked independent for our trip in May. However saying this, I would watch how long are you in port!

I noted that Celebrity is now offering tour of a different glacier in Juneau for $300 more than private tours with Costal Helicopters/Mendenhall. Curious if anywhere has opinion of pros and cons of the two Glaciers? This is a huge $$$ difference.

I am assuming from this that Sailing from Vancouver testing is no longer required? -
You can expedite your passport for an extra fee. You used to be able to walk a passport through in certain locals. I would research both and not take a chance.

I had a long in name sometime back and could not remember password thus I opened a new name and password probably about 2016? Recently having and issue with login on site, I went an erased my cookies. Now I am back to old log in name, I would like doktor 71 back, because that is what I have been using on our May 2023 Alaska roll Call. Is there any way of doing this?
