  1. It would have been interesting to see what they would have offered us instead of the Singapore to Sydney via the southern cities that was cancelled. I saw something about a departure date of 19 December but since we didn’t want to be away for Christmas 2 years on the trot,we cancelled. Just waiting to get our deposit back now.
  2. @Shirley_R that really does seem very unfair indeed. We were going to Sydney and were offered the OBC. However, that is somewhat academic since we don’t want the alternative cruise - we were wanting to see other places in Australia. I am pretty peeved with Princess at the moment since they have also changed the itinerary on our Panama Canal cruise this December!
  3. This is the one that I suspect they will transfer us to as well. We will. E canceling b/c like @dreams_of_travel we wanted to go down the west coast of Australia, the price was very good and I have great desire to go down the east coast especially since it does not even call in at Brisbane. We are clearly not meant to go to Australia since this is the third cruise from Singapore to Australia that we have had cancelled (covid times). Finding one that goes round west and south is proving tricky!
  4. I have had the letter for our 4 November 25 trip from Singapore and they have said they will re book on a similar cruise and let my TA know by 15 September what they have booked. I will be cancelling since the one that I suspect they will book doesn’t really work date wise let alone ports. We were stopping at Malaysia Bali Perth Adelaide Melbourne Hobart and Sydney and the alternative goes down the east coast of Australia and doesn’t even include Brisbane! it was a perfect cruise for us and to say I am frustrated is putting it mildly!
  5. Thanks @Turtles06 for this. I read your comments and always good to get the views of someone who has been. You have confirmed what I thought and like you I do like to explore places when in port (not that we have been to many - this will be only our second cruise) - it’s why we cruise - I think staying on board will be preferable, especially as it is Christmas Day.
  6. We have had the same change with Princess. The downside is that will will be in Puerto Chiapas on Christmas Day where I imagine everything will be closed. A quick look says that there isn’t much there anyway so we will (along many others I suspect) stay on board.
  7. Thanks - much appreciated- we have an extension lead so we might be ok with that - it doesn’t have any surge protection
  8. Thanks - much appreciated- we have plenty of adapters both EU and US - it is just the voltage that is an issue for hair straighteners and things which my wife uses.
  9. Hello Hoping the vast wisdom of the forum can help me out! We are new to cruising (only had one so far with Celebrity) and are on the Coral in December for a bucket list trip of the Panama Canal full transit. Really looking forward to it especially as over Christmas and New Year. We have 3 things we are unsure about 1. Will there be any 220v European plugs in the stateroom (we are in a balcony)? My wife prefers her own harirdryer and has a blow brush and curling tongs which are all 220v. 2. Will be able to bring on board a cordless Babaliss heated brush that is powered by a small inbuilt energy cell (As I understood it, the Princess web site makes reference to personal care items being permitted)? There is certainly no open flame involved. 3. Given that it will be Christmas and New Year do people have any experience of people getting dressed up on those days - ie Tux etc? I can see that the general dress code has dropped over time and is a hot topic! Many thanks
