Curious, if you don't mind sharing, but how was the hospital and medical staff in Lanzarote? I have never been hospitalized or had medical attention in all the times outside of the US.
Was fine, it was private hospital and was nice (for a hospital). Staff were very good and many had good English. Food was OK, not up to MDR standards but acceptable.
My wife was able to stay in the same room as me for a fee. Hopefully I will be able to claim everything back off the insurance company, who are being a little slow in sorting out things. So far I’ve had to sort out and pay for my lodging in Lanzarote. -
I was on this cruise but had to disembark (in an ambulance) whilst In Lanzarote due a medical emergency. I then spent 3 nights in a hospital before being discharged. I’m doing fine and are waiting for the insurance company to validate the claim and get us back to the UK.
Was hoping to rejoin the cruise but once it was on the way to Lisbon that became near impossible. My wife and I had been enjoying our first cruise on Celebrity, hopefully we will able to do another one in the near future.

I should have been on board Silhouette at this time but due to a medical emergency I had to leave at Lanzarote and spend 3 nights in hospital. We had hoped to rejoin the cruise but it sounds like we dodged a bullet there!
Waiting for the insurance company to sort out the claim and get us back to the UK, hopefully Monday.

I have an O2 eSIM which is perfect for European travel as it allows roaming, however I've just switched my physical SIM from Vodafone to Lebara which also allows roaming.
-
It's also a tricky airport for landings/takeoffs due to the adjacent mountains causing the wind direction to change very quickly. In 2018 our plane had to change runway direction twice before finally getting airborne.

My wife and I were on Sky Princess to Norway/Denmark (July 1st - 8th), we both tested positive for Covid a few days after we got back. Nothing too serious symptoms wise however. Whether we picked it up on the ship or whilst on-shore is unknown.

We've just come off a 7 day cruise on Sky Princess and had the opposite experience, we almost always found seats within a few minutes around the Piazza.

Just back from a 7 nighter on Sky Princess. As has been said the medallion is used in place of the usual card. We found that the ability to use it to purchase drinks varied. In some venues it was mandatory to use it to order, other venues just asked for the cabin number.
If you are on a Plus or Premium package, it quite easy to get to your 15 drink limit if the same person does the ordering. I got into the habit of asking them to put the drinks on my wife's account from time to time.

No it was fine. If you wait a few minutes there is a good chance (especially in the bigger lounges) that some one will leave. Everything was fine, never had an issue with dining or getting drinks.
-
Did the 4 night to Ireland that finished yesterday, ship was supposed to be only at 50% or so. Finding seats after dinner was tricky at any venue.

We've always upgraded because my wife hates the coke from the taps, she always insists on "proper" cans! My favourite cocktail is Long Island Ice Tea which is part of the standard AI so have never tried the premium cocktails.

I'm not sure that TUI has ever got their river cruises going, was due to launch last year but COVID scuppered their plans. Starts in October I think.

Newcastle sailings now being offered for July and August.

Seems barmy they are still pushing Med cruises for July, when we all know they will never happen.
-
But not the Marella fleet...
-
All February and March cruises have now been removed.
-
It seems at the moment Marella are cancelling a month at a time, so the February cruises will likely be cancelled in the next few days, if indeed they are. So I wouldn't expect any March cruises to be cancelled until the end of January at the earliest.
-
Not that anxious to get mine...I just want the rest of the country to become immune.
-
Marella recently cancelled all January sailings, first one currently is now 7th Feb.
-
TUI have now removed all the January sailings, first departure date is now 7th Feb.
-
Marella have now given up trying to restart before the end of the year, restart now slated for early January.
-
TUI have now pulled all their November and early December cruises, first cruise now scheduled is 20th December with Explorer 2 out of Barbados.

The infection rate in the Canary Islands is about 1/3 that of the Spanish mainland.
Morella Discovery 2, Aegean Cruise. Anyone else got concerns?

I can't see the issue, the Suez canal is a long way from the Gaza Strip and since this part of a relocation cruise to get the ship to the far east, unless the Suez area was a war zone there is no way they would take the long way round. Not sure where morals come it to it.
