  1. My credit code turned up yesterday and I immediately applied for a refund, process worked no problem. Was told the refund could take up to 28 days as expected.

However unexpectidly today TUI refunded £150 to my debit card (which was the deposit), now waiting to see if the rest of the balance will be refunded as quick to the credit card.

  2. Discovery 2 made a sharp turn and headed towards Gibraltar, although it stopped short and just outside the harbour, still reporting Valletta as its destination.

Celebration has left Barcelona and is reporting its destination at Malta.

Dream is anchored a few miles off Valletta and never docked.

  3. I've paid the deposit on a cruise on Dream in October (not for me, my son is getting married and was to be a honeymoon present) which will not be going ahead according to the information page on the TUI page. Full payment would normally be required in July, so it will interesting if TUI will attempt to request the payment even though they know the cruise will not be sailing. There has been no communication regarding this cruise as yet.

I have another cruise booked (Discovery 2 in September) which was fully paid last year, this one has been officially cancelled by TUI, just waiting for the credit to be offered so I can get full refund.

  4. After several weeks of drifting off the Mediterranean coast of Morocco, Dream is now proceeding to Valetta, Malta.

Discovery is now on the last leg of its long journey from the Indian Ocean. After heading south and stopping off at Cape Town and then Gran Canaria it is now just about to cross the Bay of Biscay on its way to Southampton.

At around midnight last night, Discovery passed within 20 miles of Celebration going in the opposite direction, it is headed for Barcelona.

The other 3 ships are still off the coast of the Isle of Wight for the time being.

  5. Just had a email from TUI regarding my September cruise on D2, it has been cancelled. Refund credit will be issued.

This is the latest information from the TUI site regarding what has been cancelled:

To clarify that is Discovery 1, Discovery 2 is due to reposition from Jamaica to Naples on 21st April and at this time Marella are saying it is still happening, yeah right!

There are no cruises now listed leaving anywhere for the whole of April.

Thats interesting, as according to captain, we were denied docking in Gibraltar Saturday.

It certainly wasn't closed, P&O's Oceana was denied docking at Malaga on Friday and went straight to Gibraltar on Saturday. According to a passenger they were free to leave the ship but not allowed to cross into Spain.

  8. Dream left Cadiz yesterday and was supposed to be heading for Casablanca, instead it just drifted around for a few hours. It now appears to be heading to Gibraltar which quite possibly might be it's dock for a while as it won't be able to travel onwards to Malaga.
