Can any help....
two weeks ago I got a refund for our 5/28 cruise, except for $4000.
still waiting for that last part, any suggestions, my TA called 10 days ago and they said ‘soon’gary
I contacted Regent directly and they gave me the exact date my refund was processed. A couple of days later it showed up on my Credit Card account. You might want to contact them directly.

You need to call...you should have gotten it. They were caught up on deposits weeks ago.
Thanks Pcardad, I did contact them, and they said it was processed on June 29th. I can seen the pending credit on my credit card..... not that its hit yet Comes as 3 payments, but adds up to the right amount.
So the spreadsheet can be updated

It sounds like they are caught up and operating normally again for refunding deposits. There is only one still outstanding on the spreadsheet, and for the last 2 months all have been received fairly quickly.
@AuntyJan, have you received your refund?
Not yet.... I was told 90 days and it hasn't been that yet. We're sad.... would have boarded the ship tomorrow

Take a look at the second tab, "Deposit Only," of the spreadsheet. The tabs are at the bottom.
There are currently only 4 in that tab that have not reported receiving their refunds:
@cruisealert has not reported in since 5/7/20. Any updates?
@thumbun and @AuntyJan both canceled around the same time you did. Any updates?
And yours is the fourth one. I'm sure there are others, that either are not on CC or if they are they don't feel like reporting their experience here.
The people who cancelled in May seem to be getting a much faster turn around than those who cancelled in March and April, but there are some recent refunds from those who cancelled just before you. I hope this means that they are working their way through the April cancellations and will get to yours soon. You are still well under the "promised" 90 days, but I agree with you that it is unfair. They are not going in the order of cancellation.
Nothing yet...... I will keep you posted.

Here is our info....
scheduled sail date 6/30/20
cancelled excursions 4/24/20
cancelled cruise by Regent 4/24/20Full refund requested 5/4/20
no refund as of 5/16/20We had not made the final payment, the cruise was canceled days before that was due. Initially we were told we were only eligible for FCC for our deposit. Then on May 4th, we were told that policy changed and we were eligible for a full refund

Yup, my cruise starts on June 30 and it wasn’t waitlisted a couple of days ago, but it is now. I’m thinking that some folks started to request these cruises with the idea they would be able to get the 125% fcc for a future cruise and go knows Regent doesn’t need that happening at this point. However, now I need to contact by TA to find out my next steps, so thanks v4e!
Irishwitchy, Toolworker and I were talking on our rollcall about my similar issue...... check out the link he posted.

Our final payment is due the end of March.... our Baltic Cruise is the end of June. I can't imagine it going out or if it does ,hitting all of the planned ports. We're brand new to Regent, brand new to cruising. We are trying to decide what to do. Pay the money, hope for the best? Or lose what we've paid so far and look at doing something else with it.
We are also in California, have been on lock down all week, and just a few hours ago our governor just put the whole state on lockdown.
I do agree with gr'aunt that an update and/or decision for cruises in April/May/June would be helpful ( added the extra months to include ours) given recent events. I know they are flying blind as are the rest of us..... but even a .... Hey we are working on what we're going to do and just hang in there...

I may have misnamed it. It is an invitation to an event extended to gold and above members of the seven seas society. Jackie: is that correct?

Thanks..... good to know, and to aspire to in the future....

As a complete newby to CC and soon to be one of those "in awe" first time cruisers, I have to tell you how much I've been enjoying your blog and pictures. We're on the Explorer the end of June for a Baltic cruise..... your blog has made us more excited for the trip. Although I hate to expose my ignorance, I do have a question.... what is the "upper three gathering" you referenced?

My husband and I will be in SPB in early July. We will be there 3 days. I have booked a private tour for two days, thinking that on the third day we could explore on our own. In reading the various posts, I'm not sure this will be allowed. The tour company is arranging a visa. Would we be allowed to explore on our own on day three?

Is there a private tour company that you would recommend In St Petersburg? Thank you for suggestion
You might want to check the general Saint Petersburg forum. Lots of great information and recommendations. We're doing a private tour, with Anastasia when we go in early July

Yes, posted on roll call but it's like crickets on it.
We are also doing a tour with Anastasia when we are in Saint Petersburg in July. When I first contacted them about a private tour they said they had a couple of groups already scheduled for when we are going to be there and would check to see if they were willing to add us. Unfortunately they weren't. But you might want to let your contact know you are looking to add people to your group to lower the cost. They may be able to add someone who isn't on your ship, but interested in a similar itinerary

We are on our first cruise in June 2020, Jewels of Northern Europe. It starts in Copenhagen, ends in Stockholm. We're doing a few days extra at each end. TA contacted them, and we got our flights. So glad we know what they are and didn't have to wait until April 2020 to find out what the flights would be. Guess if you know there is going to be a deviation you can get your flights early. I'm sure you all knew this, but as a newbie I was very excited not to have to wait.

You mention that you are doing Amsterdam as part of a Christmas Market cruise. We were there in December last year. There weren't any Christmas Markets in Amsterdam. But they do have a wonder canal Light Festival from Late November to January.
I know this isn't disability related but wanted to let you know.

I have a folding cane, and it works really well. Used it last year to dance at my nephews wedding. I haven't used it on a cruise yet thought. I have balance issues and use two treking poles.
I got mine off of amazon, I was the envy of my knee replacement physical therapy class....

Has anyone used Russian Adventures as a tour guide? I have some mobility issues and they come highly rated on tripadvisor. But wanted to see if anyone here has used them.
Thanks

Put this in another thread about hotels in Copenhagen. Has anyone stayed at The Square?

Will they charge you extra for the wheelchair? We also have the same mobility issues as you and we booked a small group tour with TJ Tours and they are providing wheelchairs and someone to push them at no extra charge.
We haven't gotten that far yet .... I've just started my research. I will also check out TJ Tours too

We were looking at the Scandic Palace and the Square too, is the Square air conditioned. Or any recommendations on preference
Thanks

Just wondering if anyone has used a company called Russian Adventures? They are highly recommended on Tripadvisor. I have some mobility issues, can't walk far, problems standing for very long. So I am thinking we might do a private tour. She advertises that she can provide a wheelchair.

As first timers we were surprised when we got the notification from our TA that we could pick our shore excursions. Our cruise isn't until the end of June 2020. We hadn't done any research. So we were a couple of days late in making selections, and still haven't quite finished. But we had no problem getting what we wanted.
Hated the online reservation service, we had tons of problems with connectivity

Thanks for the question, we're newbies both to cruising as well as to this site. I was wondering the same thing. I think in Saint Petersburg we have to go through customs when we get off the boat. Will the vans still pick us up at the gangway?

How to Dress for Christmas Markets
in River Cruising

We did Nuremberg to Vienna in 2018 (first week in December). I found that the important thing was to plan for layers. The coldest I've ever been was sitting in the Cathedral in Passau waiting for a concert to start. One thing I do recommend though which may seem odd..... waterproof rain/snow pants. I had nice ones, not the slick fabric We had drizzle off and on through out our walks/tours. I got lots of jealous comments about them. I could sit anywhere, and never worry about getting wet. No uncomfortable wet pant legs. I also brought my down jacket, which was only water resistant, lightweight rain jacket and wore them at the same time. Kept my down jacket dry.
