1. Pat's right. The older ones used to say where they were issued. My husband's first passport was issued in New Orleans event though he didn't live anywhere near there. Funny, I don't remember what mine said.

Precisely... My last passport was issued Charelston, SC of all places... I resisted in CA.

  2. Sky Suites do not get complimentary water.

Unless you buy a Classic or Premium Non Booze Beverage Package. Then you can grab bottles at bars and dining venues across the ship and take it back to your cabin to consume anytime. Even have your Butler or Attendant empty the fridge and you'd have COLD water.

  3. Blu is not a Specialty dinning room, so it is not included in any of the packages.

But if you are staying in a suite you can go for yet another additional fee.

Hmmm... I'm pretty sure I'd get tired of SS, Qsine, and Bistro on our upcoming 9 night. Not really worth $522 to eat the same stuff for 9 nights IMHO. I think I'll just book the SS for our 2nd wedding anniversary night. :)

    Thanks for the reply though!

  4. I probably wouldn't myself, not enough choices for a 7 day cruise, but that me. I might look at one of the other specialty dining packages though.

We've purchased the ultimate package on Silhouette and will again next January on Reflection, but those ships have 4 specialty restaurants plus the Porch as well as Bistro on 5, so lots of choices. We also had an included lunch at the Lawn Grill once (was only open for lunch 1 day on our cruise) and a very nice tea was included. We really felt we got our money's worth.

Infinity actually does have Bistro on 5 it's on deck 5 port side mid-aft ship across from Cellar Masters.

Does anyone know if we purchase this package if it would allow us to dine in Blu as well, or only SS United States, Qsine, and Bistro on 5?

    Thanks,

    Pat

  5. Ensenada, Mexico, is not distant, but it qualified as they bussed people to/from from San Diego.

So...on my upcoming Pacific Costal SF Round Trip we depart Ensenada on Sept 8 at 4PM and arrive San Diego (no bus) at 6AM on Sep 9. How does that work? Is Ensenada suddely distant again?

    Thanks for the clarification.

  6.
Celeb are now offering my Caribbean cruise with the free drinks package - 4 weeks after I booked.

Am I able to get them to add this to my booking in the same way they honour price drops?
If you haven't made final payment you should be able to get the better deal. However, check the pricing carefully, it may have actually gone UP!

  7. Hello, I have just gotten off my 56th cruise and booked on others and decided to try Celebrity. I have been on many RC ships and find them our favorite but we like to try something different but have a few questions if you don't mind helping us out it be appreciated.

1- Do you have to get dressed all up for dinner, would I be able to wear a nice blouse and black pants, and my other half a nice shirt and dress pants?

2- How is the food in the buffet breakfast and lunch compared to RC, better, more choices? Do they have a daily meat carving?

3- What is there to eat past 11pm besides ordering room service, anything?

4- Does Celebrity offer a live band/music during the evenings, if so, what type is it a regular band and what type of music do they play? We like good old rock n roll.

5- Why do you like to cruise Celebrity?

6- We are both 52 and would we find other people our age, or will it be an older crowed, honestly I don't mind senior crowd, better than kids running around lol.

7- Do they have open seating times for the MDR or is it just regular seating?

8- Do they offer the drink package?

9- Which ship do you prefer the Silhouette or the Reflexion and why?

    THANK YOU.

1- Formal nights need a nice suit or Tux and ladies wear a pant suit or cocktail dress. Dressy casual nights guys get away with open shirt and ladies with blouse. You can skip Formal if you want to dine in buffet.

    2. Buffet has really good selection including pizza, pasta section, sushi.

    3. The buffet is open late, not sure how late. Room service 24 hours.

    4. There is live music in the piano lounge, Jazz / classical.

    5. Celebrity is refined luxury. Laid back and nice.

    6. My husband is 57 and I'm a mature 44...we love Celebrity!

    7. If you do Select Seating, you get open seating. This will be our first time.

    8. Four drink packages, two non booze, two booze...your choice.

    9. I still like the Milliemum ships. Millie, Connie, Infinity, and Summit.

    Hope this helps.

  8. If gratuities are included then you don't have to tip additionally. Some people will give a bit extra for crew that went above and beyond to make it a good cruise. Your beverages purchases should also include gratuities charged every time you buy one.

Since this is your first cruise original poster (OP), you may want to carefully watch your beverage bill closely. It tends to add up if you enjoy your beer or wine or like to have a cocktail or two. If you really like to 'throw them back' so to speak, you may want to invest in an unlimited beverage package. NCL offers three, a soda package, a beer and wine package, and their ultimate drink package that covers everything up to $11 a glass. Check out the NCL boards and search beverage package.

    Enjoy your cruise!

  9. DH and I took advantage of the 123GO and booked a Concierge Class balcony, getting all three in the bargain. In booking with an online agency, our platinum status on RCI never came up.

Is this something we should mention to the agency or should we contact Celebrity directly? And do we rate any additional perks over and above the 123GO by giving that information?

You have to go to Celebrity and create a sign in for their site. You can use the same username and password as RCI if you like. Enroll in Captains Club at Select Level. You get the perks of Select. You may also call Captains Club at 800-760-0654 and they will assist you. Give them your RCI C&A number and they will be happy to assist with your sign up on Celebrity CC.

    steamboats

Steamboats, I can't find the slightly lower online prices you reference. When I log into my reservation and click on beverage packages I only see the latter price, not the 'online' price. I wouldn't mind saving a few bucks by purchasing prior to my 9 night upcoming cruise.

    Thanks,

    Pat
