HAL has changed greatly since 2018, let alone 2010.  So many small things. HOWEVER the reward staff are so phenomenal 

We got an email from HAL with our boarding time, but it doesn’t show up on the boarding pass on either the Navigator app or the web site. I’m thinking I read hat the bar code won’t show up until the heath assessment is complete.

I would go to your local voter registration board and talk to the in person. We will be gone over Election Day, but we do early voting, so we will have our ballots in October before we leave. We always drop our ballots in person, and we can track their status online. 

Interesting that DH tested positive this morning, which falls in the 8-90 day preembarkation timeframe listed by HAL. We can show a photo of a negative result using a home test. What does that mean? Just that it makes my life more difficult since he isa Luddite and doesn’t use a phone.

That’s what I do. I always get the platinum plan. Came in handy when we had to cancel 19 days prior to sailing!

We use our points for air fare. Haven’t flown in 3 years, so the points are building up to first class our next flight!

We’re also on this holiday cruise. Still 140 days out. Try again closer to date. 

My PCC told me “probably by the end of the summer.” Whatever that means. I check every day just in case it’s sooner.

What is the time for early seating? Is it still 5:00?

Hating to sound so stupid, but what is needed to have the scanning seen by the proctoring person? Is there something that needs to be downloaded to my tablet? How are we being seen?

There is only one smartphone in my household. Does anyone know if I can use the downloaded app for both users? Do I download it twice,one for me and one for DH and just pass the phone back and forth, doing the process for both of us? Is it just easier to do “normal/regular” check-in? Why does everything need to be so complicated?

Thank you so much for postings and honesty. We cancelled our March cruise on the Konigsdam and rebooked for November. We’ll see what 10 months brings. I was ready to give it a try, but DH was worried we would be stopped from re-entering the country.  I now have a better view of what it all entails. No, we are sadly NOT back to “normal.” But sure do miss the ocean. Best of luck on your return home.

We have reluctantly cancelled our March 20 California Coastal cruise. We are rebooked for the same cruise in November - hopefully 10 months will change the health environment. So sad. Our third cancellation since November 2020. Haven’t seen the ocean since November 2019. 

We are scheduled for that port in March. I hope things are resolved by then.

Another thing to check is the browser settings to allow pop-ups on the site. Once I allowed pop-ups, I had no problems with the website.

Anyone have insight on how assigned times with multiple dining partners is going? Are strangers being seated with strangers? What time is early seating? Thanks, Susan 

One of our favorite cruises was on the Eurodam. I hope you enjoy her. Look forward to reading your posts. We hope to sail from San Diego in March on the Konigsdam.

We are boarding in 98 days… so excited. I do have a question - is there still a separate shampoo and conditioner in the shower? I always worry that they’ll start doing 5he combination stuff for hair washing.

Please explain how the checking photos are being done.

We received a HAL email delaying the  final payment for our March 2021 cruise, but nothing yet on cancellation. I can wait.... although I will be cancelling anyway since I won't risk traveling to Florida at this time.
