  1. I'm going to apply for this repricing for our October cruise after our first X cruise coming up in another week.  This offer says it is for Captains Club Classic members and above only.  Right now we have 0 points. LOL.   I wish I could reprice my cruise in a week, but Nooooo, X cruise virgins are not eligible, I guess.  The extra OBC would be nice.

How long does it normally take after a cruise is over to get your Captains Club points?

Do you sill see the option to pay it? How long ago did you book? I now only have the option to remove it, though I have no idea why I would, since it's free.

Yes, but is it free?  That's what is confusing.

Looking closer, I have 2 cruises booked with X, both in suites with, supposedly, gratuities included as a suite perk.  These were both booked in the last month or so.  The one in July is through a travel agent and there is no link to modify the DSC at all.  Cannot add/remove/change it because it's just not there to see (like the second one is).  The second cruise is in October, booked directly with Celebrity and I am able to add the DSC to my total trip cost.  In fact, it was added in by default at first, but I removed it.  I figured I would just pay it onboard if it has to be paid, but I don't know if it is part of the free gratuities perk or not.

I would call Celebrity to ask about it but their hold time is very long and I figure it will work itself out in the end.  Not too worried about it, but it would be nice to know specifically now before the cruises.

Again, a GLARING omission from this page is any sort of a link to what perks you have and what add-ons/reservations you have already booked. It turns out, the only way to find that info is to go to the “Order History” link at the top. Which, by the way, is also where I can see my original Classic Drinks Package and Surf WiFi listed, even though I never “ordered” those.

Thanks for this.  I'm new to Celebrity too.  I've been looking all over for this and even though it was right in front of my face, never saw it.  Seems like a weird place to see included perks if you ask me.  I like the way NCL makes it easy to see these on your reservation.

We're booked for the July 31 on Edge (first X cruise) in a Sky Suite.  Can't wait!

We're NCL Platinum but weary of waiting on NCL to get their act together and also of NCL's hugely inflated prices, particularly in the Haven.

I'm also confused about the DSC charge shown in the Reservation Manager.  As a suite guest, I thought that gratuities were included in the price.  So what is this?  Is the DSC not part of that?  I don't really understand whether we are supposed to pay this DSC or not.

  4. After having my Oct 19 Joy cruise cancelled today and supposedly receiving a 'generous' 10% discount to put toward another similar cruise that costs 200%+ more than the one cancelled, I am voting with my wallet.  I'm taking my business to Celebrity and not looking back.  And this is Haven dollars going bye-bye for Celebrity Retreat dollars.  I spent 17K for multiple cruises today on Celebrity and my friends spent 20K all in Retreat suites.  I am Platinum and my friend is Platinum Plus with NCL so we have been loyal.  But we've both had it with NCL. They are losing loyal customers with their pricing tactics and horrendous management practices.  I'm certain we are not the only ones who are leaving.  We are tired of their pricing games and don't want stupid go-karts and lasertag. I expect them to be out of business soon enough, (where I will also lose more money on CruiseNext certs).  Goodbye NCL.

You would be wise to vote with your wallet also instead of appealing for generosity from where there is none.

I have a cruise booked for Jan 2021.  As of yesterday I’d planned to make final payment in August only if Peace of Mind was extended to cover us, given the concerns with a second wave this winter.  But now with the going out of business chatter, I’m not sure we won’t just cancel and sit tight for a while. I’ll wait until closer to final payment to decide, but without Peace of Mind, we will definitely cancel.

Same here for my Nov 29 cruise with Aug 1 full payment date.  Without some protection, I am not paying in full and cancelling.  Not to mention embarkation is in NYC, so the itinerary is questionable also.

If you are elderly or not in good health it is YOUR responsibility to protect yourself.  Trying to blame innocent, healthy people is ridiculous.  Do you preach the same measures for flu prevention that has already killed 10's of thousands of Americans already this season?  I didn't think so.

This, friends, is the selfish millennium attitude that is going to kill a lot of people.  Very sad.

Allianz are either clueless or deliberately trying to avoid paying a legitimate claim

Allinaz need to learn how cruiselines refund passengers.

The $15 port taxes is money paid by you and returned to you because of the missed stop in the form of refundable OBC. This means at the end of the cruise if this money was in your onboard account it would be paid back to you.

What you have published on here is quite clear for Diamond cover it is:

£100 per missed port multiplied by the number of people covered on the insurance up to a maximum of £1000 per person.

If the cruiseline or port had paid you any money on top of giving you your own money back then you would not have a claim.

You paid  NCL port fees, NCL paid the port it's fees. You did not stop at the port so they gave NCL the fees back, NCL in turn paid you the port fees back. In this case NCL are just middle men facilitating your payment of port fees. You did not stop at the port the money was returned at no point was you compensated by either NCL or the port.

Even NCL's own travel insurance would pay upto £300 per person for missed ports and itinerary changes.

I would explain this to Allianz.

If they still do not want to pay up I would make a formal complaint.

If they still will not honour you policy I would refer the matter to the Financial Ombudsman Service.

As long as what you have posted on here is accurate and true you will get paid your compensation.

Here is a link outlying the Allianz complaints procedure

    https://www.allianz.co.uk/about-allianz/help-and-contact/complaints.html#expectations

    EXACTLY this.
