I will be spending six nights in Florida from December 12-18.  I disembark at Fort Lauderdale but will be flying out of Miami.  Being totally unfamiliar with these areas, which is better for a six night stay?  I would really appreciate advice.

I can rent an apartment via airBNB, or book a self catering hotel.  I would prefer being able to at least make toast for breakfast rather than eating out all the time. Any suggestions are welcome, but sorting out the area to stay is more important.

I will be on my own, so nearby restaurants are important. I will walk everywhere. No way I will attempt to drive!

Don't tell me you're a port fan from WA?!

  2. I'm looking at booking a cruise mid-late Feb or early March (before March break) 2025 ABC islands. I've noticed that the February ones are mostly sold out and more expensive. Is there a reason why that is the case vs the first week of March? All on the Reflection. TIA.

I’m assuming from the OP’s post that the options were a more expensive flight on the day of the cruise or what they opted for was a less expensive flight the day before with a less expensive hotel stay.

Yes this is correct, I was hoping to save some money by going the day before but didn't really work out.

Per TA, all AI bookings prior to the change will keep the gratuity included, but if you make any changes after 10/4/23 your bookings will switch to the new structure.

I wonder if changing to a cabin upgrade bid reverts the All-in?

  5. Looking at booking an 8 night ABC cruise in 2025, before the All-in loses the grats, but the All-in is $1000 pp. Seems ridiculous. Would I better off booking cruise only and wait for a beverage sale to pop up then pay the gratuities on top? Wifi isn't important to me.

  6. Hi, I booked a guaranteed IV on the Ascent for early next year. I've now received my cabin 6120, has anyone been on the other Edge class ships around this cabin? I can't see any in the "Cabin review" forums. Thanks.

Note: It's above the theatre, up front.

  7. The Aqua class sunset verandah on Deck 12 is underneath the buffet it seems, the CC is under that Aqua class sunset verandah room. Is it worth the noise upstairs for Aqua class sunset verandah and being able to dine in Blu and use the Spa or go with the CC underneath on deck 11?

EDIT: Disregard, the deck 12 sunset verandahs are Sky suites. Sorry.

I really wish they would discount the drink upgrade from Classic to Premium.  Still sitting at the 5%.  Noticed today the wifi upgrade to premium was only 2.99 per day, for my April TA.

Yeah what is with that? So it's only benefiting people that buy "Cruise Only" packages? I still get a pre-paid tips that I can't delete added on my balance when I have all inclusive. It's getting ridiculous.

Thank you for posting this.  I just logged on to my account, and "Prepaid Tips" to the tune of $460.00 have been added to our final bill.  We booked when there were four perks:  OBC, WiFi, PBP, and Gratuities.  In addition, our overall remaining fare due to Celebrity went up by $200.

I'm awaiting a call back from them to explain, and to agree to change it back to my quoted fare that was emailed to me in July.  Will let you know what pans out...

I can imagine how many people could be getting caught out with this dubious glitch

  10. I have all included for my cruise booked next year. Under manage reservation there is an "Add-on" section with pre-paid tips. It was not added yesterday, I have logged in today and noticed my balance due is higher, looked under add-on and it has checked off as added pre-paid tips without me doing that?? Is this not the same "tips" as the all included??

We enjoyed Le Voyage on the Beyond and have it booked for our Ascent cruise in January.
Must do’s wander the ship, the art is great and much of it is unexpected.  Sunset bar is nice spot for wake view & a drink, lots of covered seating.  Lunch or breakfast at Eden Cafe.  Show or entertainment at Eden around. 10:30.  Theater is amazing, we are note production show goers but enjoyed the shows, theater is amazing.

Great info, thank you so much! Is the Eden Cafe included or is it extra?

  12. Hi all, first cruise since the Summit March 2020 cruise that got rejected for disembarkment in Puerto Rico, stuck out in the water, had to sail to Ft Lauderdale, internet went down and couldn't find our way home until the last minute. Then (being from Canada) they were threatening to shut the border down before boarding our flight. Was extremely stressful. We have just booked 7 nights on the Celebrity Ascent in March and I just cannot wait. What is a must do on these new Edge class ships? I see the Daniel Boulard restaurant is on this ship, has anyone tried it on the Beyond? Also with the All-in option, tips are included but they have another option to add tips in the "manage reservation" section. I'm sure this is just a mistaken "double up"? Thanks all!
