I believe they began boarding group 1 around 11:45am when I was there last September. And yes, there are seats in the waiting area before boarding (bathrooms too!). Be prepared to hand over your passport as you board though. It caught some people off guard.
Ok. Thank you for that info

Does anyone know what time they starting boarding on the Star going out of Venice? Also after you check in is there any seats while waiting to board the ship? Thank's for the feed back

Did you ask on the NCL board? I would bet they start around noon. In all of their embarking ports.
Thank you

If you want to shop for anything of substance you'll need to do it in Venice and or at the airport. The main port has very very minimal amenities, just facilitation of check-in / emark-dismebark. I think I did recall some portable carts but if you need sundries / water - snack or trinkets plan them before port.
Chipmaster, thank you for this info, first time in Venice not sure what to expect.

There is a small coffee (espresso!) bar selling coffee beer paninis in one of the terminal buildings. Also I seem to remember a small shop selling odds and ends, but can't remember exactly what! sorry!
Thank's for the info

Thank you all for your replies!
Since we are a big group of 12 people I don't get to call all thr shots and saving money over location was a big deal for the rest of the group, so we ended up in Antony Palace Hotel in Marcon. I know this is far from Venice and not where I wanted to end up, but at $110 a night I had to take one for the team.
Looks like they have a shuttle service to Venice that runs during the day, otherwise I am thinking we will have to use the train/bus to get around.
Hi, Were staying at the same hotel in Sept. We also think this hotel is a good choice.

Hi, Taking a cruise next Sept to Venice and the Greek Isles and does anyone know how the weather is that time of year. Thank's for any info.

If you booked your tour thru the cruise line, many give you the option of being dropped off at Quincy Hall, or go back to the ship. If you choose Quincy Hall, they will give you a free pass for the shuttle back to the ship. Just ask for it.
Mets123, Thank you very much for this Info.

If you decide to stay at Faneuil Hall, I'd walk out the East end onto Atlantic Ave southbound and try to hail a cab or call Uber. I'd guess $15-20.
You could also walk down the Rose Kennedy Greenway to South Station and take the Silver Line SL2 right to Black Falcon.
Thank's That is the Info I wanted.

It's 2.5-3.0 miles depending on the route. More details? Are you walking? Are you going from a specific hotel with luggage? Are you hands free without luggage? Different strategies depending if you have luggage or not.
Hi 138 East, Were taking a tour that would let us off at Quincy market/ Faneuil hall OR take us back to the ship, So what is the best way to get back to the ship and what do you think it would cost? Also Thank's for your help

Pearl sailing New Years, and Epic (with the CD) sailing in January, no smoked salmon at buffet even when asked for. Told we had to go to the MDR for it.
Safe sailing
Like I said I had it every day. It's a shame you have to ask for it WHEN it should be put out with the rest of the food.
