  1. I noticed several posters saying they will be in Tome in April of 2025. We are taking the transatlantic ship from Tampa to Rome and then intend to visit Rome for a few days. Never been to Rome and would love recommendations for all things Rome… hotels, sights, restaurants. We prefer budget friendly. Tia.

    We have sailed 18 TA's/repositioning cruises; some B2B2B of 28 - 33 days.

Next October we are taking the Adventure of the Seas from Port Canaveral to Lisbon then Voyager of the Seas from Barcelona back to Port Canaveral with 4 nights between.

Of course there is another TA B2B2B in the spring from Florida ending in Italy and several shorter cruises prior to this...

Yes this is exactly what I’m looking to do!

  3. It's 30 days til my cruise and I have completed the online check in. When my cruise documents were emailed to me there wasn't a boarding pass included. Is this something that is sent to me closer to the cruise?

What is included?  Inside the Yacht and outside the Yacht Club…?  Any help appreciated.

Looking  at Mervaviglia out of Canaveral in January 2023.

    Thanks in advance.

We are booked for Jan 8 in yacht club. This will be our second time in yacht club. We received drinks in and out of the club. Stay in the club tho. It’s great!

  5. Seems like the really good ones retire or go to corporate. I think the good ones create an atmosphere with their activities staff that is engaging. It definitely enhances the experience. The bad ones…. Well are just dull and unimaginative. On a two week Hawaii cruise our cruise director Kirk Did a 1 hour gym class each day and even taught us a hula dance called the Hookilau. That was 15 years ago and I still remember his name.

  6. I hate the anxiety of the testing. In Jan I tested two days out and was positive for coved. Vacation cancelled. I had no symptoms. How many sick people will board with no testing in place. I would have because I wouldn’t have known. Others that may have caught it from me may not be as fortunate. I’m on the fence here.

How is bourbon rocks watered down, unless you let the ice melt?  Is the suggestion that they short-poured?  Or are you/he actually suggesting that Royal Caribbean is topping off its liquor bottles with water?

The amount they charge for a single drink is so far and above the cost of the shot of liquor they are pouring, that the benefit of watering down the bottle would be so small compared to the absolute public relations nightmare of that practice. Of course it's also illegal to do that in the u.s., but obviously the foreign flagged nature of these ships makes a difference (although I suspect there would be some applicable law).

It's not to say no bar has ever done it, but it would be a whole new level of insane for Royal Caribbean to get caught up in that.

Edit: Longhorn said it much more succinctly than I did...

Why is it when someone shares an opinion that they get blasted on these boards. Some of you make commenting on these boards not welcoming

Reports of "weak drinks" usually means people are making their drinks too strong at home 🙂

I've always managed to feel my drinks on board so if isn't the alcohol it's something else they're adding.

My husband is a bourbon on the rocks drinker and knows his bourbons. He said they were watered down. Just saying.. we aren’t heavy drinkers. This question was raised as to cutting costs with the drink perks. I was just sharing my experience.
