As a regular casino user, I can categorically state, that OBC's CANNOT be used in the casino. For a start, it's not run by Cunard, it's franchised out so the casino has no access to your on board account.

Either you use cash or you charge to your room. Your choice, but nothing else.

Thank you. So, if it's charged to your room does it not come off credit that's in your folio? On Princess (casino franchised out) when you charge to your room, it takes it from your OBC - seems odd why it works like that on some in the Carnival fleet and not others.

Assuming its the same as Queen Anne and QM2 - you can charge to your room. You cash out from the machine back to your casino account. However, to recieve winnings you'll need to go to the cage with your cruise card. It's always been given to me in cash and I've deposited that into my onboard account at the purser's desk.

So if I have OBC in my shipboard account, presumably it will use that rather than charge my credit card?

  3. If I visit the slots on QV am I able to charge slot spend to my room with my stateroom card? If so, what happens when I finish playing, do I go to the cashiers to get paid out or does it go back on to my onboard account? If so, how do I actually get my winnings, if I have any? I'm used to the medallion system on Princess but not Cunard ways

We've been told that it's real butter by not only those of us who know how unsalted butter tastes, but also the actual Executive Chefs in charge of the butter, so at this point people calling it "fake" are either delusional or believe in conspiracy theories.

It is certainly 'different' taste, texture and look to what I would call proper butter. Maybe refer to it as adulterated and unadulterated instead. But it certainly isn't proper

  5. I asked about it when it arrived automatically the first time and was told it was only that night as it was Italian night. The second time, they had to fetch 'butter' from the Reserved dining area as they had none in our section. Does that mean that reserved dining get the real stuff and the rest don't?

  6. Does anyone have experience of pre-purchasing wine from the personaliser before cruising? It states that the price includes the service charge so does that mean that you are then free to carry the bottle around the ship, to the MDR or wherever you want to drink it?

That promotion seems to have ended.

You have a better chance of being struck by lightning than having the price of an expired promotion applied onboard to a package upgrade.

Bottom line, they won't do it.

Don't let it ruin your vacation chasing this.

The promo I had was May 2023, I know that's expired?  I'm not trying to have the price of an expired pormo applied onboard.

    🤔  But, you posted:

'Now I've gone to do it, they are saying that it's the difference between the half price and the premier price'

And most contributions are agreeing that if you do it online it's the difference between your 50% off plus and full price premier! That's why I posted my comment, it will cost less on board even without BLC....what is that??

    A) you can't do it online B) Blue Light Card discount

It will cost us more to do it onboard than the price that they told us it would be on enquiring recently. I know that doing it onboard without the BLC is cheaper than paying the currently quoted price.

However, I only asked if anybody had a copy of the T&C from the promo, not for anything else.

Yup, it indicates a guest has to pay the full difference between discounted Plus and today's Premier price.  At the time, if Premier was also half-price, then it would have been possible to make the switch cheaper.

I get that but I have been told twice by Princess that it was the difference between the full plus price and premier so they should honour that.

If I wait until onboard, they will probably only charge that as they have no idea what deal I booked under.

    1. I already purchased my cruise. Can I upgrade to either Princess Plus or Princess Premier?
Absolutely! You can upgrade from Princess Standard to Princess Plus for only £50 per day or to Princess Premier for £65 per day. If you already have Princess Plus on your reservation, you can upgrade to Princess Premier for the difference, based on the price of your original package. To do so, simply log in to Cruise Personalizer, contact Princess via our Contact Center, or contact your Travel Advisor.

I hope this gives you your answer @rosevew

That's normal t&c but not related to the package. My account shows me having booked plus (showing £50). Nowhere does anything refer to the special 50% off deal.

  11. Does anybody have a copy of the T&C for this promotion which was for the King's Coronation, please? I'm trying to upgrade to premier and was previously told that it would be the difference between the Plus full price and premier. Now I've gone to do it, they are saying that it's the difference between the half price and the premier price.

To a degree, I can understand the logic of that. However, to all intents and purposes, I've bought the Plus Package which is what my booking shows so should only have to pay the difference which is £15pd.

The only time we book with Princess is if it's a complicated tour and if it's a considerable ways from the ship. Caribbean tours are usually close by without much driving involved.

    Europe is entirely different.

Yes and we are heading to the Med. Some of the locations are quite a distance from the port.

Guess what.... a 'sale' has started on the excursions.  Most went back to regular (pre-increase) prices.  One stayed 20.00 more.  Sale runs until Feb 25th

Just spotted this too. The excursions we wanted are still more than they were a couple of weeks ago and the other is sold out.

  14. I noticed it at the end of last week for our Med cruise in May. One excursion I was looking at had gone up 30%. The 'from' price wasn't available at all either, even for kids. I contacted the online chat but couldn't get a straight answer there as to what was going on so said that I'd not be going to book any as the increases were out of all proportion. The trips we were looking at were a total of $560 and had increased to over $750. I'll be keeping my money, thank you.
