Thank you, everyone. This is good information. I have one other question. How does the Captain's Club upgrade work on these regular balcony cabins? For instance, can I book a 2A for the price of a 2B on deck 7 on the Solstice Class ships?
-
Can anyone recommend a deck 6 obstructed balcony cabin on the Solstice Class ships where the obstruction is minimal? I am specifically interested in deck 6 on the Reflection but I assume all Solstice Class ships have the same design on deck 6.

To be clear, unless you are booking a suite the included internet is a Unlimited Surf package vs the Captains Club Elite/Elite + internet perk high which is a Unlimited Stream package.
What is the difference between a Surf package and a Stream package?

Can someone please explain to me how the Captain's Club cabin upgrade works regarding regular balcony cabins on the Reflection? Specifically, what balcony category can I get upgraded to from the least expensive balcony category?

Does anyone know how to calculate the amount of the 125% Future Cruise Credit that Celebrity is offering on cancelled cruises? Is it based on the total amount paid for the cruise including taxes or is it calculated before taxes? And if you use it to pay for another cruise that is higher in price, do you have to pay the difference at the time you book the new cruise?

In my opinion, this is going to kill the cruise industry. If this requirement is still in place next year, I am cancelling my Japan cruise and will not do any international travel until this changes.
-
This really bothers me. If this requirement remains in place, I will not be doing any international traveling anymore. And I am afraid that it will effectively kill the cruise industry. I have a Japan cruise scheduled for next year on the Solstice and if this requirement is still in place by then, I will cancel my cruise.

We did this itinerary on the Constellation in January 2019 and it was the best cruise I have ever taken. The cruise was 15 nights leaving from Abu Dhabi and ending in Singapore. In between, we stopped in Dubai, 3 cities in India (overnight in Mumbai), Sri Lanka, and Phuket, Thailand. Since we are still working, we only got to spend one day in Singapore at the end of the cruise but we were able to see a lot of the city in one day. This itinerary was amazing and I would do it again in a heartbeat. Unfortunately, this was the last cruise we were able to take before Covid 19 wrecked havoc on the entire world and I don't think cruising will ever be the same. Thank you for bringing back memories of this truly wonderful experience on the Constellation. I hope one day Celebrity will bring this itinerary back.

I noticed that some of the fares include Wi-Fi Surf and some include Wi-Fi Stream. I know this is probably a stupid question, but what is the difference between Wi-Fi Surf and Wi-Fi Stream? I thought all Wi-Fi was the same.

Personally, I think the $300 would be better spent on specialty dining than on Blu, but not everyone would share that opinion of course.
I agree. Book Concierge or a regular veranda and use the money saved to dine in one of the speciality restaurants. I booked Aqua Class once and I personally did not find the food in Blu to be much better than the food in the main dining room. The service in Blu was better but the food was just ok.

If I am Elite Plus but my spouse is Elite, would Celebrity raise my spouse to Elite Plus as well? And if so, how would I go about making this change?

How do you find out if the Power Up points were posted to your account? When I log into Celebrity, I do not see where the Power Up points are listed. All I see are my total Captain's Club points. Where would the Power Up points be?

Does anyone know if there is a way to purchase Celebrity airport transfers using on-board credits before the cruise takes place? Airport transfers do not show up in my cruise planner so I am not sure if there is another way to purchase them with my on-board credit.

I was supposed to be on the same 11 night Apex cruise to Turkey, Greece and Malta. I paid $7,200 for an Aquaclass cabin with 4 perks plus an extra $400.00 on-board credit from Celebrity. I did a Lift & Shift to the 11 night Edge cruise next year that has almost the same ports and Celebrity let me keep the original price I paid on the 11 night Apex cruise. They also let me keep all 4 perks plus the extra $400.00 on-board credit. The prices on Aquaclass cabins now with 4 perks on the 11 night Edge cruise are almost $11,000.00. And this price does not include the extra $400.00 on-board credit Celebrity gave me. That is a huge increase. Thank you Celebrity for allowing me to Lift and Shift.

1. Mumbai, India
2. Cairo, Egypt
3. Alexandria, Egypt

Can you Lift & Shift to a cruise that is one day longer for the same price you paid on the original cruise? For instance, can you move from a 7 night cruise to an 8 night cruise for the same price you originally paid?

This is so encouraging. I really hope my Apex cruise in August can still happen. It feels so good to finally ready a positive post about cruises resuming soon.
-
As of yesterday, Celebrity has drastically increased the prices on all Apex cruises in August, September and October of this year. The prices for these European cruises are more than double what they were a few days ago. I wonder what that means? I wonder if people are trying to use their 125% FCC to book these cruises since Italy and Spain are opening their borders to international tourism in July?

Can someone tell me which concierge class cabins on the hump of deck 12 have the largest balconies on the Solstice class ships?

Note: when I tried to make a Select reservation the last available time was 9:30
Thank you. I just tried to make a reservation in my cruise planner and 9:30 is the last time it will allow me to reserve a table. So I guess 9:30 is the latest time they will allow you to enter the main dining room.
-
Does anyone know what time the main dining rooms on Celebrity Solstice class ships stop allowing passengers to enter for dinner if they have Select Dining? For instance, can you show up for dinner at 10:00pm if you are returning from a tour that ended at 9:30pm? Would the dining room allow you to be seated and served this late?

This is not a topic about living life inspite of what is happening on the planet. This is about No travel to Brazil.
Taking a cruise is a part of living and enjoying life for many people. If someone decides that they want to take a cruise out of Brazil in spite of everything that is happening, that is their choice and should not be judged for it.

We were booked for a B2B Nov 20, Dec 6 to South America. I had spent an incredible amount of time, researching, organizing and planning private tours. Had all sorts of people joining me and asking for more and more availability. It all came crashing down. I cancelled both legs of the cruise in very early March. There was no way I would be going to South America during a pandemic. Celebrity refunded our deposit, air line fully credited our fares, no deposits on any tours were given. So we came out just fine financially but were very disappointed not to be doing this bucket list cruise.
What really surprises me is the number of people who are still emailing me constantly to get onto the private tours. Why are people so unaware of what is happening on this planet?
There are all kinds of things happening on this planet. More people are dying from cancer, heart disease, obesity, gun violence, terrorism, car accidents, alcoholism, drug abuse, etc. You cannot stop living your life just because things are happening on the planet.

Right? The US has the highest number of cases by far and we are blocking people from flying here? Who in their right mind would choose to fly into the US now!
I totally agree. Right now, I would feel safer in any country other than the US.

Price Adjustments when using FCC
in Celebrity Cruises
Posted
Normally, when the price of a cruise we have booked goes down before final payment, Celebrity will adjust the price of the cruise if I call and request it. Does anyone know how this works if you paid for the cruise with a Future Cruise Credit? If the price of the cruise goes down before final payment, will Celebrity adjust the price and give me the difference in another Future Cruise Credit?
