Hi all,
I just upgraded my wife and I from a Junior Suite to a Royal Family suite. The cost was only $1,000 to upgrade. I love the idea of having a larger room with a huge balcony. Our other upgrade option would be to upgrade to a Grand Suite for an additional $80.00 on top of the $1,000. Since it is just the two of us should I pay the additional money for the Grand Suite or is the Royal Family suite a better deal? Pros/cons would be appreciated.
Thanks,
Adam

I received an email last Saturday for my 11/1 cruise on the Oasis. I upgraded from a D-1 to a JS for $820.00.

I think that printing your own luggage tags is dumb! I used to love getting luggage tags in the mail. Printing luggage tags that could be easily be ripped off is a bad way to cut costs. Ending rant in 3...2...1...done!

The show will be called Cat Spray. :D

Our flight out of FLL doesn't leave until 8PM after we get off of the Oasis. Does anyone have suggestions on what we can do to keep entertained until we can check in at the airport?

Hi all,
I need help with selecting my cabin on the Oasis of the seas. The cabin we are currently in is JS 6248 on the port side of the ship. The map shows that on the other side of the hallway is the Schooner bar. Can I expect to get any noise being so close to the schooner bar? The other cabin choice is 6644 on the starboard side of the ship. The advantage of this cabin is that it is on the middle of the hump. My main concern with this cabin would be the possibility of cigarette smoke from deck 5 since the starboard side of the ship allows smoking. If you were going to select a cabin which one would you go with? Are there any advantages of port versus starboard?
Thanks,
Adam

I asked if I could use the discount towards a grand suite and I was told no. I'm also hoping for a 2nd upgrade opportunity.

You all haven't made this easy. I ended up upgrading to 6248. The cabin is right next to the elevators and around the corner from the Schooner Bar which is one of my favorite hangouts. My only concern is that a portion of the balcony looks to be angled. Does anyone know if I am losing much space on the balcony by selecting this cabin?

Merion Mom they would never mess up their web site! :-) I'm on the November 1st sailing. I'm looking forward to seeing how accurate this information is. Knowing my luck they are really adding a McDonalds and Burger King to the Boardwalk.

I was looking at the deck plans when I was booking a cabin. They are different than the plans in the main area.

Not according to the deck plans. It is possible that they aren't accurate.

I noticed on Royal Caribbean's UK website that deck 6 on the Oasis is now showing a Rita's Cantina and the Boardwalk Doghouse. It's good to see that they are finally letting the cat out of the bag on what they are planning to do in the dry dock.

Hi everyone,
I received an email from Royal Caribbean that offered an upgrade from a D1 to a Junior suite for a 50% discount. The price difference ended up being $810.00 so needless to say I pulled the trigger. My cabin options are on deck 6 which would put me near the boardwalk or deck 8 which would put me outside of central park. Which deck should I pick and why?
Thanks,
Adam

I've been to the crew bar on several Royal Caribbean cruise ships. The crew really know how to party. :-)

This is exactly why I buy travel insurance. My thoughts and prayers go out to the person left in Bermuda.

My aunt is on the ship and she confirms that the captain said that it is a propulsion problem. I hope it is an easy fix!
-
Just heard from a friend on board that it's a propeller problem
Yikes!
-
Any idea why?

My wife and I are sailing on the Oasis in 100 days and there are very few cabins available. If RCCL can fill a ship on higher prices why wouldn't they?

Thanks everyone!

When we get off of the Oasis how early could I plan to leave from FLL? I would hate to risk missing my flight but I don't want to spend too much time at the airport.

I only drink that much while cruising. If I drank this much on land my liver would be upset with me.

Barbarah did the boats block much of your view down? Out of the 3 cabins did you have a favorite?
