We are on the Joy next Tues Aug 23rd. Friends of ours also had a non haven suite. category SP. They just returned from the Joy. Upon their embarkation they showed two supervisor the document that clearly shows that category is eligible for priority embarkation & debarkation. They did not care.
Now we board on Tuesday. We believe we will have the same issue. If we are supposed to be entitled to a perk, why not take advantage of it. Any feedback on how to try to handle this would be greatly appreciated.

Next years prices are considerably higher. Once everything is back to whatever normal will be expect prices for cruises to jump 30% minimum. Right now the industry is getting everyone back onboard. then, just like airfare say goodbye to low fares. So, grab what you can afford to pay, this is it for a while. prices are not coming back down.

We just booked an SP Inside 2br suite on the Joy. Does anyone know in the Master BR how far the nearest outlet is to plug in a CPAP?
i want to make sure I purchase an extension cord long enough. Also does NCL supply the Distilled water?

We were looking to book the Joy the last week in Aug this summer. However it has a series of 7 day followed by a string of 9 day in last Aug-Sep.
Right now the Aug 14 sailing is wide open almost every category open to book. However, the Aug 23 sailing is booking up. Since they both begin and end mid week and prices are close, that should not be a factor. I thought that the earlier sailing would be the bigger seller because people are still summer break while the following week many more schools, colleges ect. will be starting up. Anyone have any deeper insight to this. Im very curious.

Does anyone know what NCL uses the ferry boat for in Bermuda? Saw it docked last time in Bermuda on a different cruise line. Going on the Joy this summer to Bermuda so I'm curious what its for.

My cabin steward told me they HATE the the door decorations, especially during covid. It prohibits the staff From sterilizing the doors. They are supposed to have all hard touch surfaces wiped down daily. They cant wipe down the doors what have coverings of magnets all over the place.

According to the Vista CD kindle Fire this week has 3650 pax onboard. This is her fullest sailing since before the pause.

We were going to do our ore cruise at home covid testing. Apparently, emed/ Navica server is down. They do not have an estimate when it should be back up.
They originally said 2 hours. That was at 11am EST. Now they have no idea. NOT GOOD!!!

We all are getting over colds. We have all been tested for covid (pcr test) all negative. However, we do have some symptoms of lingering colds. Sneezing, stuffy sinus, ect. My question is if our pre cruise covid is still negative. Can they deny boarding even though we do not have covid… We are trying to be forthcoming, but not fly to Fla and get denied boarding over a cold.

Someone posted on another cruise board that the Vista needs a drydock refurb. The rooms have stained carpet, furniture in need of repair and beds are soft and you can feel the springs poking through. Is any of this credible? Because usually the best ships sail out of Florida and the older or less cared for ships sail out Galveston or new Orleans.

We are sailing on the Vista XMAS week. The sailing no longer shows up as available. With our COVID world could it really be at over 100% occupancy? Or are a percentage of of room purposely just never part of available inventory. Cause now with Omicron am a little concerned.

It’s a Pandora’s box. if it’s 5 or 50 you won’t know. If the ship suddenly has to return to home port early, they exceed the allowed threshold. Leave the box closed. Because sometimes you really don’t want the answers.

i understand 100% why the cruise lines want pre covid testing now. What I don’t understand is the lack of leadership. besides a few paragraphs on telling you that you have to be tested. No help is offered in obtaining the correct testing. I have read so many posts on a few different cruise message boards. So many of us are frustrated. They could have rolled out a single point FAQ. and CLIA should 100% be behind this as the voice of the cruise industry. CHARLES SILVIA WHERE IS YOUR LEADERSHIP? Set up a website that works for all partner cruise lines with direct, clear, simple instructions about where to get testing, proper types, who pays, links. ect…
this random take care of it yourself and hope for the best does not sit well with me. The industry can do better. And assist its passengers. OK i’ve ranted… I feel better now…

every single thing about your post is mostly inaccurate. Most companies that do business outside the USA do
the very same thing to avoid paying as US taxes. Just like every other US taxpayers does. We all try to find the loopholes to pay as little as possible.
AND ITS ALL LEGAL. That’s big business.
Thats just the way it is. You are just as guilty as the rest of us. Corporations are just trying to do the same only in larger $$$$ amounts.
Now, i do 100% agree with you that the Cruises lines should not get a single penny of bailout funds. But that is only because I would rather see the money redistribution through other channels. Small business under 20mil of annual sales volume, self employed the list goes on. They should receive the lions share to restart the economy. However, this will NOT happen because those multinational multi billion dollar corps have a huge economic impact for instance cruise lines keeps millions of people employed from Truck drivers, port administration, dock workers, home office personnel, and not to mention the 100’s of millions spent on sourcing the food and beverage needed to operate these ships at US ports employees so many of our fellow citizens. They need the bailout in order to survive or the alternative is a financial crisis like we have never seen before. So, it is sometimes necessary for the govt to intervene because they are simply TO BIG TO FAIL.

TBH, having just done the Eastbound TA on her, my major gripe was the state of our cabin and overall furnishings so in my opinion even this remedial work would more than satisfy me!
Not accurate. That is done to speed up construction. However, cruise lines can and have done amazing retrofits to prefab cabins.

I would not take anything other than a cash refund from NCL. I don't think they can financially recover. Too much debt, not enough cash on hand.

NCL is also offering 150% FCC on sailings departing this weekend, as well as the refund option.
