  1. silly question, we have never been to Cozumel or Mexico for that matter. Do we need to worry about the water in the mixed drinks (ie ice cubes)? I have always heard you should only drink beer there and need to know if this is still true. Thanks

  2. I posted this same question as it's own thread a few minutes ago... but then thought maybe someone in this thread might know the answer and help me!

I used Priceline last year and was very pleased with the pre-cruise hotel I got in Tampa. I would like to use Priceline again for our Port Canaveral cruise in April but am unsure WHAT HOTELS are available through Priceline. I currently have the Radisson booked, but will cancel is I chose to go the Priceline route instead.

When I go to "Name Your Own Price", it gives me 5 areas to chose from. Can anyone tell me if I should chose "Cape Canaveral"?

I don't know what you are looking for in a hotel but I recently bid on my first hotel on priceline. I bid on cape canaveral, 2.5 stars, $49. I ""won" the country inn and suites. I was very happy with the results.

    Hope this helps

  3. We have stayed at The Radisson, as well as The Country Inns and Suites (right next door to The Rad.),The Sheraton 4 points and The Coco Beach Hampton Inn. Of those, I liked the Sheraton the best. BUT beware, the "pool" is the size of a Honda Accord. However, we live in Tampa and have a pool, so that isn't such a bad thing. It is also within walking distance to the beach, as is the Hampton Inn. The Rad. is getting very worn, the last time I was there......but to save a few bucks, we did book there before our 6/21 cruise. The Country Inns and Suits is very nice, and only 2 years old.

    Hope that helps.

    Fran

How far is the Sheraton from the port and do they allow you to leave your car there? I heard if you stay at the Radisson you can leave your car there without paying extra but that may be old information.

Glad to see this tread is still going, it is helping to pass the very LONG wait.

Thanks for all the great info!!!

  4. how often do they have bingo on FOS, how much is it to play, how much can you win (cash-wise) and is the "win a cruise" game a "must go" game or do you have to get bingo in a certain amount of numbers?

obviously i'm asking for my wife and not me. ;);););)

I don't remember how much bingo cost (it wasn't cheap) but I do know that near the end of the cruise they have a winner take all game where the jackpot is big. We were lucky and won over $7000 (US). Paid for our cruise and them some. The earlier part of the week the jackpots are much lower, it depends on how many people play. Be warned it is very addicting!!!

Sorry you have soooo long to wait for you cruise but from my point of view it's nice to know that someone else has such a long wait. We aren't going unitl April of 2010. Sooner that you but still a LONG ways away.

  5. Depends on how adventurous you are :) You could play it safe and stay in Cocoa and hit the beach ( a few miles from the port), or --

Stay in Orlando and hit the parks. This is the adventurous part -- be sure to make it to the pier the next day!!

Think we want to stay close to the port. We will be driving and it takes about 10-12 hours so will be getting in later in the evening the night before the cruise. Anyone stay at the country inn and suites? It is close to the pier and I was wondering if you can see the ships from there.
