Never done it, but many people have reported (as 3 monkeys confirms) that most of the flights back to North America (oops, if that's where you are going?) are SUPER early in the morning (most of the people on my Italy boards suggest ending an Italian trip in another city as that early morning departure is pretty rough)......more chances to see more of Italy! yay! hah
You're saying that your cruise ends there too, right?
Yes, thanks! I had no idea the port was so far away from Venice. Definitely changes things…..
is there a better airport to fly into than Venice?

Hi everyone! We have a cruise booked on the brilliance of the seas for September 2022 departing from Venice. According to the itinerary, we arrive at 6:45 am. What time should I plan to be able to get a flight home?

I think so but I’m getting different answers when I ask the reps. Personally I think sail by date will be extended by the time sailing actually resumes.
That would be nice! We’d probably be looking for later in 2022 or even 2023. I’ll keep an eye out. -
Thank you @Ourusualbeach We’re booked on the Symphony of the Seas and I’m wondering if the larger ships will sail this year at all. So many unknowns.

Last year we stupidly took the cruise with confidence offer for in cruise April. (Three days later all cruises were cancelled and we would have been eligible for a refund or 125% cruise credit. ) instead we ended up paying 20% more for a cruise this November as our credits expired December 31, 2021. There’s a group of us going and we’re really not comfortable cruising this year. It is a big trip for us and we’d prefer to just wait until there is a little more certainty and the vaccines are distributed more outside the US. Are we able to push back for another year? Or would we basically have to forfeit our FCC?
