I wonder how Carnival decided which Fantasty Class ships to scrap. The Fantasy was for sure...but why the Inspiration over some of her older sisters. And I thought they would want to keep the Fascination in the fleet as she has balconies and maybe lay up on of the others without...very odd indeed as to how they choose ships to take out of service.

Likely just another place to resupply/hang out while waiting for high tide and space at Aliaga.
I would think if the Horizon was gonna be scrapped they would send it to Turkey and just have it wait their off shore at Izmir..why bob all over the Med.

look at all that rust. 😞
i'd imagine ALL the ships on all the cruise lines look like this after 4 months of minimum crew? (ie: noone to scrub out the rust cause by salt water + paint while docked?)
or is this how Carnivale ships normally look like? 😮
how far was she towed? Thought would of sailed on her own!

Does anyone know where they are laying up the Imagination and Fascination? I know the Imagination is heading to Freeport (def a layup contender) But the Fascination is in Cadiz Spain?? Would they lay it up their maybe?

Here is vídeo off Fantasy arriving. If you look across to Sovereign and Monarch you'll see they haven't wasted any time with the the dismantling and the lifeboats are already gone. There is a pile of them on the dockside.
And the Captain leaving :
Any idea of the 6 going to be scrapped. I would assume from various lines. Maybe some CMV ships? Or Fred Olsen?

Its odd Horizon went from Piareus to Limassol and back to Piareus. Not something a ship heading for scrap would do very strange indeed.

Pretty sure I saw a recent picture of the Fascination and she had balconies.
