Same for Allure on August 22.  I have heard one month ahead but maybe 2-3 weeks ahead.

I spoke with a RC person yesterday and asked when check-in would be available for my August 21/21 cruise and she told me they were opening up check-in ONE ship at a time. So hopefully ours will be opening soon. Waiting patiently.

I know this is a dumb crusade for me to fight but.... it’s called the “owner’s suite.” Sure us pions down in steerage have to pay for our drinks. But anyone staying in the owner’s suite should get free booze anytime they want. And the good stuff too.

No offense but, I too am a pion, however I'm retired my husband has cancer and I have saved a very long time for this cruise to make it as wonderful as I can for my husband. Don't judge me just because I'm in an Owners Suite. Yes, it would be great to get free drinks, but I will buy a drink package for me and a soda package for my husband.

We are on the 7/7 from Southampton in Sky class due to a ridiculous upgrade offer being accepted 😁😁. I received an email from the concierge today which stated the Suite,Lounge was available to us.

If you are in an Owners Suite, can you get free drinks in the Suite Lounge?

ok, so I am somewhat now confused.  I did receive the email yesterday from Royal.  We booked February 23, 2021 and are both fully vaccinated ...  Do we have to buy insurance?  The way I read the email was that unvaxed pax needed to buy insurance.

If we show up at the pier and we were supposed to have purchased it, is it something we can do onsite? help! Cruising Aug 29th...   thx. Susan

My understanding is if you are vaccinated you do not have to buy the insurance or get tested, but have to show proof you are vaccinated with your CDC card.

What to Know Before You Go

    Vaccination

We strongly recommend all guests 12 and older be fully vaccinated. To be considered fully vaccinated, the final dose of the vaccine must be completed at least 14 days before sailing.

At check-in, guests will be asked to provide documentation of their vaccination, such as the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention’s (CDC) COVID-19 Vaccination Record Card. Those who are
12 and older and do not have or are unable to provide documentation will be considered unvaccinated.

Our unvaccinated guests must undergo additional COVID-19 testing at their own expense,
provide proof of a valid insurance policy with sufficient medical coverage for needs related to a positive COVID-19 test result, and follow the health protocols described below, which are based on guidance from the CDC.

If you do not wish to undergo or pay for additional testing, or adhere to these health and safety protocols, we are happy to provide you with a refund. We believe that in the coming months, restrictions and requirements will be more accommodating as public health circumstances evolve.

All crew onboard our ships will be fully vaccinated.

    Insurance Requirement

For cruises departing from Florida homeports from August 1 through December 31, 2021, as a condition of boarding, each unvaccinated guest 12 and older must provide proof of a valid insurance policy that has a minimum of (a) $25,000 per person in medical expense coverage and (b) $50,000 per person for quarantine and medical evacuation related to a positive COVID-19 test result.

The insurance policy must name the unvaccinated guest as the policy holder or beneficiary, and may be purchased from a travel insurance company of the guest’s choosing or through the Royal Caribbean Travel Protection Program, which includes the requisite coverage.

This policy applies to sailings from August 1 through December 31, 2021, and all bookings — except bookings made between March 19, 2021 and June 28, 2021.

    Testing Requirements

    Vaccinated Guests

Vaccinated guests do not have any testing requirements.

    COVID-19 Testing for Unvaccinated Guests

For unvaccinated guests 12 and older, the total charge from the third-party testing vendor for these tests is $136 USD per guest on sailings of 6 nights or less, and $178 USD per guest on sailings of 7 nights or more. This amount will be applied to the guest’s onboard expense account. Royal Caribbean will pay the testing vendor(s) on the guest’s behalf and will not retain any part of the testing costs. For guests age 2 to 11, we will cover the cost of any required testing.

The testing required of our unvaccinated guests is described below.

    Pre-Cruise

Unvaccinated guests 12 years of age and older will need to undergo a PCR test administered by an accredited laboratory of the guest’s choice, and taken no more than three days before sailing. We will require documentation of a negative result for this test prior to embarkation. All costs for this test are the unvaccinated guest’s responsibility.

    At the Terminal

Unvaccinated guests 2 years of age and older are required to take a PCR test when checking in at the terminal, which will be administered by one of our testing vendors. Registration details will be sent via email in advance.

Mid-Cruise (For Sailings 7 Nights or longer)

Unvaccinated guests 2 years of age and older will be required to undergo additional antigen testing onboard, mid-cruise. Guests will be notified onboard about how to register for this test.

    Prior to Disembarking

While onboard, unvaccinated guests 2 years of age and older will be required to undergo antigen testing before disembarking at the end of the voyage. This test will be conducted the day before the cruise ends by one of our testing vendors. Guests will be notified onboard about how to register for this test.

These tests will be complimentary for guests ages 2-11.

Guests under 2 years of age will not be tested.

Has anyone's cruise planner been changed that enables viewing any of the excursions at the new ports they picked?  You try and download the planner for the cruise and it still gives the original listing of excursions.  Nassau wants a Health Visa to get into country like $80 each to get off the ship on top of any excursion?  Unless RCL works out some deal that uses the  test they are requiring all to take back in Miami as proof just one more reason not to get off the ship.  From Bird's review of the first cruise out of Nassau the cruise ship terminal is gone and temporary structures in place, and most of town was still in lockdown, nothing was open.  Sounds like a great place to visit?   How about those emails from RCL or your travel agent. I would be curious to get some feedback on how many folks have actually received one?  A couple did right away after release back on June 8/9th.  Many still have not, self included.

Still waiting for the cruise planner to change to the correct islands! Very annoying.

Jetblue has a 6AM nonstop flight from Providence to FLL for $116. Now, what were you asking me about reasonable airfare?

The price is great, not crazy about so early, but then from FLL need to get to Miami. Also the return flight is around 9:30 PM, not crazy about those hours either, but I guess I can't be to picky if I want to save money. Thanks for your help.

Fine if you consider it a bargain. I can fly from RI to FLL for less and that is about 7 hrs in the sky roundtrip.

Please let me know for what airline? I've been looking and most are close to $900 RT for two, leaving Boston or Providence, and the flights are anywhere from 5 to 8 hours with layovers. Looking to go to Miami or FLL if I have to, no stops would be nice. Thanks

I'm curious about calling in to just get one drink package.  If it only took a phone call I think lots of people would be doing this to save money?  You'd have to prove you have a medical condition that proves you can't drink.

    What's Royal Up????

You can call and get one drink package, but they make you buy the soda/water/coffee package, at least that is what they had me do.

don't forget the chowder at Hooked!

And the smoky Old Fashion at Wonderland.

    Anything on the Wonderland menu.

Agree with poster above on El Loco Fresh for breakfast.   Solarium bistro as well.

Chops for a steak, maybe.  Skip Jamies/Giovanni.  Revamped menus aren't what hey used to be.

Instead of making reservations for a couple of Specialty Restaurants, the UDP is well worth it? It is on sale on my cruise planner at 50% off, debating to cancel my reservations for Chops and Hooked and purchase this package? Any thoughts. I'll be on Symphony in August if all goes well!

That cruise has been pulled from the website as they are no longer allowed to sell cruises longer than 7 nights until at November.  It hasn't been canceled, Royal is trying to figure out what to do with their sailings that are 8 nights or longer.  Celebrity ended up shortening the 8 night ones to be 7 nights long, and added a night to the 7 night ones.  Itineraries did have to change.  Not sure what you mean about getting an extra stop.  I hope we find out what their plan is sooner than later though, especially since Celebrity has announced theirs.  At least they didn't cancel the ones longer than 7 day outright like Princess and HAL did.

I'm also on the 8/21 8 night out of Miami on Symphony, waiting for more details.

Our Odyssey sailing in 2022 has the Private Beach club area at Coco Cay priced at $238.07 CAD. Per person.  (A few days ago it was $264.67pp)

Not sure if that's a mistake or that is actually the price they want now?

Our Coco Beach Club is for $179. in April of 2022 and the Cabana is $1,200.
